Frequently Asked Questions

Where can my child participate in Soccer Shots?

Soccer Shots is held at childcare centers, preschools and schools, as well as public locations. Our public programs are open to the general public while our childcare center and school programs are only open to those enrolled at the location.

Does my child need any special equipment?

We provide all equipment needed! Your child should wear comfortable, activity-appropriate clothing. Cleats and shin guards are not necessary. Be sure to bring plenty of water and get ready to have fun!

How do I know the locations of the park programs?

To find public programs in your area, select View Locations at the top of this page.

Can I have Soccer Shots start a park program near me?

Yes! We are always willing to start a public program near you. The easiest way for this to happen is for you to form a group of six children willing to take part in a Soccer Shots season. These could be children from your neighborhood, friends from church or synagogue, or your parent groups. We’re happy to help talk through ideas on how to make this happen. Please contact your local director for more information.

What can I expect from a Soccer Shots session?

Our weekly 30-45 minute sessions focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.

What if my child is sick?

If your child has RSV, COVID-19, temperature or other symptoms, it is advisable to please keep them at home. Make-ups are not available for missed sessions due to personal reasons.

How do I know if a session is canceled due to inclement weather?

We will notify you of any weather cancellations via email and text message. We generally try to make a decision at least one hour prior to the start of the session.

What is your make-up policy?

We provide up to two make-up sessions at all locations for canceled sessions. We will either add an additional week to the season or choose a make-up day or time. Make-ups are not available for missed sessions due to personal reasons (vacation, illness, etc.).

What is your weather policy?

Soccer Shots Central Texas will provide up to two make-up sessions for all classes canceled due to inclement weather. We will either add an additional week to the season or choose a make-up day. Sessions may be canceled due to rain, snow or if the weather drops below 40 degrees.

Thunder and Lightning Policy:

Soccer Shots follows the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) position on thunder and lightning. If a coach sees lightning or hears thunder, the class will be canceled and the field must be cleared immediately. Classes may only resume if we are free from thunder or lightning for at least 30 minutes.

What is your refund policy?

Prorated refunds will be given prior to the third session of the season. Anything beyond two sessions will result in a prorated credit towards a future season. The $25 annual enrollment fee is non-refundable.

What if I can't pick up my child's end-of-season prize?

Each child will be awarded an end-of-season prize that must be picked up on the last day of the season. If you cannot make it to the last session, then please have someone else pick up your child’s prize on that day.

Will my child get a Soccer Shots jersey?

If you enroll your child in Soccer Shots to participate in anywhere from one to multiple seasons of Soccer Shots throughout a year, your child will receive a youth jersey. Youth jerseys are distributed one time per year and are included in the cost of enrollment, regardless of the number of seasons you sign your child up for within that year.
