Meet The Coaches

Coach Ben hails from Collegedale, TN! He has played soccer his whole life and enjoys playing in his spare time. Coach Ben also enjoys reading and cooking! Coach Ben is a big jokester and will use plenty of corny puns throughout his sessions!

Coach Erin is from Coastal North Carolina. She moved to Chattanooga to attend UTC, and she us studying Early Childhood Education. Coach Erin has 6 brothers and sisters, and she cannot wait to see your child on the soccer field.

Coach Fernando is from Dallas, Texas! He has a background in psychology and mental health with a psychology degree from Southern Adventist University, in Collegedale. He has worked as a social worker in Chattanooga for several years, and uses his passion for working with children to provide a safe, friendly environment for learning. Coach Fernando can’t wait to lead your adventures at Soccer Shots !

Hilary began working with Soccer Shots in Spring 2018. Many of you have had her as a coach over the last few years, and she is now our program director.

Hilary grew up in Chattanooga and graduated from UTC. She has a daughter named Tori, and they both enjoy going to concerts, or going camping, when Hilary is not working.

Coach Joseph is from Boston, MA. He is currently enrolled at UTC studying engineering management. Coach Joseph also serves in the Air Nation Guard. In his free time he loves to play soccer and go golfing with his friends!

Coach Josh is from Ringgold, GA and is currently working on his degree in elementary education. He grew up playing soccer and even played a season at Bryan College! In his free time, Coach Josh loves to be outside taking his dog for hikes and playing disc golf. He can’t wait to see you all on Soccer Island!

Coach Katie is from Chattanooga, TN. She has been playing soccer for 10 years! Whenever she is not coaching or playing, she loves spending time with her family and two cats!

Coach Lenka is from Peru, the best Peruvian cuisine!! She graduated from Major National University San Marcos as a PE teacher. After 8 years of being working in schools Coach Lenka moved to Chattanooga Tn. She went to University of Chattanooga for a certification license. Coach Lenka has been working with kids for long time and loves to be able to make an impact in the lives of children through the game of soccer.

Coach Maggie grew up in McDonough, GA. She graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and played soccer all 4 years! She enjoys running and hiking in her free time. Coach Maggie loves building connections and finding the latest thriller novel to read! Coach Maggie joined the Soccer Shots team as Director of Coaching in January 2023!

Coach Makayla is from Chattanooga and has lived here her whole life! She is currently a full time student at UTC studying child psychology. Coach Makayla grew up playing soccer and spent a lot of time as a referee. When she is not working Coach Makayla enjoys going to concerts and amusement parks!

Coach Mara is currently attending Chattanooga State to pursue a nursing degree. She loved playing soccer in middle school and is super excited to be coaching your kids! Coach Mara is looking forward to making a difference on and off the field!

Coach Nick is from the European Island of Malta! He is currently attending UTC here in Chattanooga. Coach Nick has played soccer for fourteen years. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities. He can’t wait to see you on the field!

Coach Sydney is from Trussville, Alabama! She is currently a student athlete at Lee University on the track and field team. She is studying Biology and Pre-Med. She can’t wait to meet you on Soccer Island!

Coach Tyler comes down from Lookout Mountain, GA where he plays soccer at Covenant College! He is a sophomore transfer from Calvin University and is originally from Charlotte, NC. Tyler loves playing guitar in his free time.
