Meet The Coaches

Coach Patrick is our Executive Director and has been watching and playing soccer since he was a mini! He starting out as a Soccer Shots coach in 2017 and then stepped into the role of Director of Coaching in early 2018. Coach Patrick has served as our Executive Director since October of 2018. He played soccer through high school and has not stopped watching the game. Coach Patrick graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. He has coached others since the age of fourteen in various sports, but soccer has always been his favorite.

Coach Amanda is our Director of Operations and she grew up in Iowa, where she graduated from the University of Iowa with an Elementary Education degree. Coach Amanda taught preschool in the Denver area prior to joining the Soccer Shots team. In June 2018 Coach Amanda started coaching for Soccer Shots, and stepped into the Director of Operations role in October 2019.  She loves working with students, and getting to be a fun and exciting part of their day! When she isn’t coaching soccer, she is outside climbing, hiking, or running!

Coach Kevin is our Director of Development and he grew up in New York and has been playing soccer since he was 2 years old. Coach Kevin started with us as a full-time coach in January 2019 and then stepped into the Director of Development role in December 2019. He played throughout High School and played D1 with the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he majored in Hotel Management and minored in marketing. When Coach Kevin isn’t teaching or playing soccer, you can find him hiking most trails in Colorado, cheering on his favorite futbol team, Arsenal, cooking a great meal, camping, exploring and spending quality time with family and friends.

Coach Cody was born in Colorado and has lived here for his entire life. He started playing soccer when he was 5 and played all the way through high school. When he’s not on Soccer Island, he loves doing stuff outdoors like hiking 14-ers or going skiing. Coach Cody is super excited to help his new friends get better at soccer!

Coach Jamie was born and raised in Leicester, England and officially moved to Colorado in July 21’. He has followed and played soccer(football) from a very young age and went on to represent the Leicester City Youth Academy for over 6 years. When away from the field, Jamie likes to route for his hometown team in Leicester city, explore the wonderful scenery that Colorado has to offer, and keep in touch with his family back home.

Coach Kristyn grew up in Connecticut and played soccer, as well as a variety of other sports, throughout her life. She graduated from James Madison University in Virginia with a Masters in Elementary Education. She taught fifth grade for three years in Las Vegas before moving to Colorado! When Coach Kristyn is not on soccer island, she likes to exercise, hike, and explore the city with friends! She is excited to support her soccer friends as they grow and develop important skills both on and off the field!

Coach Alison was born and raised in Maryland where she grew up playing soccer and enjoying several other sports. She has an AA in Political Science from Harford Community College and a BA in Education Policy from Hampshire College. Alison became a licensed early childhood educator via Mount Holyoke College in 2021. When she is not on soccer island, Coach Alison enjoys exploring the city of Denver (her new home) and hiking in sunny Colorado. Coach Alison believes that political activism is important to creating a better environment for youth and enjoys co-creating memorable experiences for young people.

Coach Ayrton was born in Colorado and has lived here for his entire life. He started playing soccer when he was 8, and has continued all the way through high school and into college. He enjoys watching and playing all sports! Ayrton attended Metropolitan State University of Denver and graduated with a bachelor’s in history, as well as a secondary teaching license.

Coach Genevieve was born and raised here in Denver Colorado. She started playing soccer in high school and has been in love with the sport ever since. When not on soccer island Coach Genevieve loves to hike and hang out with her dog Chanel. Coach Genevieve is very excited for all her soccer friends to develop their own love and skill set for the sport throughout our Soccer Shots journey together!

Coach Jenn was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She started playing soccer when she was 5 years old and has been playing ever since. She is currently going for her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Denver. When Coach Jenn isn’t playing soccer, she is hanging out with friends and family. Coach Jenn is really excited to contribute to the best sport there is and can’t wait to meet all her new soccer friends!

Coach Karissa was born in Colorado and has lived here for her entire life. She started playing soccer when she was 2 years old and played it all the way through high school. She is currently attending Colorado Christian University. When she is not on Soccer Island you can find her going on adventures with roommates, spending time with family and 2 dogs, watching sports games, or exploring more of Colorado. She loves to hike, fish, play soccer, and be outdoors. She is super excited to help her soccer friends learn more and grow their skills in soccer while having fun!
