Director of Coaching
Coach Katie is our Director of Coaching. Katie has been coaching for Soccer Shots since 2017 and began serving as our Director of Coaching in April 2018. She has not only played soccer since she was 3, but has also coached soccer teams of different ages over the past years. Coach Katie is very excited about teaching the game of soccer to all her Soccer Friends, and training and equipping our awesome Soccer Shots coaches to provide an exceptional Soccer Shots experience for your children!
Director of Operations
Coach Amanda is our Director of Operations and she grew up in Iowa, where she graduated from the University of Iowa with an Elementary Education degree. Prior to joining Soccer Shots in May of 2018, Coach Amanda served as a lead preschool teacher in Denver, CO. She loves working with students, and getting to be a fun and exciting part of their day! When she isn’t coaching soccer, she is outside climbing, hiking, or running!
Coach Abigail has been playing soccer since she can remember. She currently attends UNCG after transferring from Francis Marion University where she played soccer there for 2 years. She is studying to be a Speech and Language Pathologist at UNCG. She has played travel soccer for PTFC over the years and won 4 state championships doing so. She also played basketball in High School. Besides coaching soccer she likes to watch Netflix, hang out with her friends and watch UNC play basketball.
Coach AK is a senior at UNCG studying Studio Art and Art History. She plans on getting her teaching license after graduation so she can share her love of art with kids. She has plenty of experience with soccer starting at 4 years old. Playing travel ball and varsity during all four years of her high school career has taught her many things that she can share with younger generations. Inspiring patience and creativity are two things she believes are essential for having a fun-filled session at Soccer Island! In her free time she loves to care for her garden and play board games with her friends. She is excited to share her love of the game and make a lasting impact with her Soccer Island friends!
Coach Alex has been playing soccer since he was little. He currently attends Winston-Salem State University after transferring from Fayetteville State University where he played in the band for 3 years. He is studying Music Education to be a band director. Besides coaching soccer he likes to play video games and hang out with his friends, travel, and watch WSSU Rams Football.
Coach Lex has actively participated in sports, including soccer, since the age of 2 and quickly grew to love them! She also goes by the name Coach Lexi for her Soccer Island friends! She is a graduate from UNCG. Coach Alexus has a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration of Sports Medicine and a minor in American Sign Language. She thoroughly enjoys outdoor activities, working out, and playing with her dog!
Coach Andres has been playing soccer since he was 5 years old. He is currently attending Forsyth Tech, majoring in Mechanical engineering and plans on transferring to UNC Charlotte..
Throughout his life, Coach Andres has always loved being active and has played many kinds of sports such as basketball and volleyball. During his free time he likes to travel, eat new things and play soccer wherever and whenever he can.
Coach Ashlynn has been coaching soccer for a few months and fell in love with the game. She graduated from Greensboro College in 2016 where she received her Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Studies while playing lacrosse. She has spent the past two years as an Exceptional Children teacher at Bessemer Elementary school and will be making the transition to a PE teacher at Summit Creek Academy this fall. She coaches varsity high school girls lacrosse at Northern Guilford and middle school lacrosse with Winston Salem . Besides coaching , she likes to watch Netflix, cooking shows, spend time with her daughter and explore the outdoors.
Coach Bell graduated from UNCG but is looking to go back and receive her master’s in in higher education and student affairs. She loves to encourage and promote health and growth to young people. Coach Bell is so excited to be apart of the Soccer Shots team and help her friends learn about Soccer as well. She looks forward to meeting you all on Soccer Island!
Coach Brooke is doing her first year of athletic training masters program at High Point University. She is from West Virginia. Coach Brooke has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. She played on a travel team for 3 years, played in high school and played 4 years of college soccer at Alderson Broaddus University. Besides coaching soccer Coach Brooke likes to hang with friends, and going to the beach. She is excited to make new friends who love to play soccer and share her knowledge of the game to her new soccer friends.
Coach Caitlin is a student at UNCG. She loves working with kids and has coached soccer and basketball for the YMCA. Before joining Soccer Shots she was a camp counselor at a Camp called Mountain Top. She also enjoys playing kickball and playing golf in her spare time. She loves sports and is looking forward to coaching and instilling good sportsmanship and the love of sports with the children she will meet through Soccer Shots.
Coach Caroline has played soccer all her life. Throughout high school she played travel indoor and outdoor soccer. Going into college she played tennis all four years of undergrad for the University of Lynchburg as an Exercise Physiology major and Psychology minor. She is attending Elon University for her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Coach Caroline loves working with kids both on the field and as a kid’s camp art instructor! They never cease to surprise and impress her. She looks forward to meeting all her new friends on Soccer Island.
Inspired by the recognition received from the Coca Cola Company to the highest performing athletic and academic high school student and motivated by experience gained from being a 2x renal transplant recipient, cardiac arrest patient, and independent researcher, Coach D hopes to transform the way teaching and learning happens, globally. Prior to joining the Soccer Shots team, she worked at the Atlanta Speech school and became aware of Soccer Shots by watching her students enjoy learning all about soccer and being a good person. Now, she looks forward to providing such a high quality experience as “Coach D!”
Coach Emily has played soccer since she was four years old. She has played on many club teams and played for Greensboro College, where she studied Child Psychology. While she is not playing or coaching she likes to go hiking, swimming, and play with her dogs. Coach Emily cannot wait to share her love of soccer with her new friends!
Coach Hannah has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. She has always been in love with the sport. Coach Hannah had plans to play college Soccer, but was injured and was unable to play. Instead, she is now passing along her love for the sport by teaching and coaching her Soccer Shots friends! Coach Hannah spends her free time hanging out with her family and friends and going to the gym. She looks forward to seeing her friends on Soccer Island!
Coach Holly loves soccer and has played soccer for most of her life! She started playing at the age of four, and played all the way through her freshman year of college. She played travel soccer for PTFC and was a member of a four-time state championship team. Holly is currently studying Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. When Holly is not coaching, she is dreaming about Disney or listening to her favorite music. Holly is excited to make new friends who love to play soccer, and share her knowledge of the game to her new soccer friends!
Coach JJ has been helping young players learn the game since he was 10 years old. He began by helping his father coach, and then became a player himself and played on several teams across NC. Coach JJ enjoys sharing his passing for Soccer with our Soccer Friends. He also loves rugby, traveling, and speaks 3 languages- Spanish, Serbian, and German.
Coach Kailey grew up in Parkersburg, WV and has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old! She played competitively on multiple travel teams and was captain of her varsity soccer team in high school. She recently graduated from High Point University with a B.S. in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Health and Wellness and a B.A. in Biology. She now attends UNCG and is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Health. She loves being outdoors, travelling, and looks forward to meeting all of her new friends!
Coach Kelsey attends Greensboro College as an Exercise Science major and is a member of the women’s soccer team. She has been playing soccer since she was three and is excited to help young kids learn the sport she loves. Coach Kelsey loves watching Auburn football, hanging out with her family and dog, and shopping. She can’t wait to see all her friends on Soccer Island!
Coach Elizabeth has been playing soccer since she was 4. She fell in love with soccer at an early age and has always kept the sport in her life. Coach Liz is a student at East Carolina University and when the opportunity exists, she likes to gather her friends and they compete in the intramural soccer games at ECU. Outside of soccer, she uses her free time to take her puppy on walks, listen to music, and spending time with her friends and family. Coach Liz is very excited to pass along her excitement and love for the sport to all her Soccer Shots friends!
Coach Micah has been playing soccer since he was 6 years old. He is attending Forsyth tech right now and is planning on transferring to Appalachian state after 2 years to get his bachelor’s degree in history and minor in education. Coach Micah wants to teach high school history. He has led multiple classes at soccer camps as well as taught multiple preschool classes. He is constantly volunteering at church and at food pantries whenever he has free time. He loves to have fun and spend time with other people whenever he has the opportunity.
Coach Q is originally from South Carolina where he played soccer throughout high school. After moving to Greensboro, NC for college, Coach Q earned a bachelor in Exercise and Sport Studies. He loves working with the next generation and also coaches wrestling. He can’t wait to meet all his new friends on Soccer Island!
Coach Trevor has been playing soccer since he was 8 years old! He is currently attending UNCG, majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Sports Coaching. Growing up he played a variety of different youth sports, such as baseball, basketball, and football, before falling in love with soccer! During his free time, he also loves hiking, watching movies, and spending time with his friends and family. He can’t wait to be out there on Soccer Island playing with all of his new Soccer Shots friends!
Coach Wynn is a fun loving outgoing coach who has recently started being at Soccer Shots. She is a soccer player herself and loves teaching the sport. In her free time, Coach Wynn mainly plays soccer and hopes to pursue that through college. Coach Wynn also loves to play basketball. She loves being active and staying busy. Coach Wynn has a plan to go into Criminal Psychology after college. She can’t wait to meet all her new friends on Soccer Island!
