After graduating from the College of William and Mary, Wade spent 12 years playing professional soccer for clubs including the San Jose Earthquakes, AGF Aarhus in the Danish SuperLiga, Norway’s Fredrikstad Football Club and our very own Houston Dynamo. Wade captained the Dynamo to back to back MLS Cup Championships in 2006 and 2007 and has also represented the Men’s National team on the pitch. After his playing career, Wade spent 7 years coaching for the Dynamo, most recently as the Head Coach. As a true fan of the game and the city of Houston, he has joined the Soccer Shots team to share his passion with the youth of our city. He loves to go on adventures with his wife Haley and their twins, Jack and Logan. Wade is one of the healthiest people you will meet, a vegan, and a talented ultra-marathon runner.
Coach Sarah made her way to Houston from Iowa where she grew up with her older sister, younger brother, and their many dogs! She began her soccer career early, played for numerous select teams through high school, on the club team at Michigan State University, and eventually as a Viking for Grand View University. Coach Sarah has years of coaching experience including individual, small-group, and specialized team training and also has received her “F” coaching license. Coach Sarah enjoys watching films, studying archaeology, and has traveling to Africa at the top of her bucket list!

Coach Natalia grew up in Bogota, Colombia with her parents and two sisters – one of which is her twin, Coach Tatiana! She played soccer for Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, where she studied general business and marketing. Her playing experience also includes the 2012 London Olympic games and 3 World Cups with the Colombian National Team, and she currently plays semi-professionally for the the Houston Aces. She has coached at the club level in Houston, and has received her “E” coaching license. Coach Natalia is fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoys traveling, working out and being with her 2 cats.
Coach Melissa grew up just south of Houston in Manvel, TX with her older brother and sister! She began playing soccer at the early age of 7 for the local youth soccer club, and has loved the game ever since. Coach Melissa has earned a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology-Exercise Science at the University of Houston, and hopes to one day attend medical school for Physical Therapy. You can usually find Coach Melissa exploring the outdoors, traveling, or lifting weights with her cousins!
Coach Julia grew up in Southeast Houston with her older brother and sister. She has been on the soccer field since she was six years old and played 2 years of club in college. She then proceeded to coach for four years at YES Prep for the middle school and varsity team as the head coach! In addition to her passion for soccer, Coach Julia also loves to have game nights with friends, running and just overall playing outside. When she isn’t playing soccer, you can find her cheering on the U.S Women’s National Team or enjoying the outdoors!
Coach Natalie grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina with her parents, older brother and dog, Brodie! Soccer has always been a part of her life, and she played all the way through her last year of high school. Natalie earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from University of North Carolina at Wilmington and hopes to one day work in collegiate or professional sports. Coach Natalie also enjoys attending basketball games, watching soccer and exploring Houston. She hopes to one day visit Niagara Falls!
Coach Gabriel grew up in Houston with his 2 older siblings and their dog named Maggie! His love for soccer began at the early age of 4 and he made it all the way to play with the Houston Dynamo Academy. Coach Gabriel has previous coaching experience at an elementary school where he realized impacting children’s lives was something he wanted to do for life! Coach Gabriel enjoys cooking and golf, and traveling to Italy is number one on his bucket list!
Coach Keath is a Houston native but lived internationally in Beijing, China from 2002 to 2010. Coach Keath is bilingual in Mandarin and English and loved the opportunity to grow up experiencing another country’s culture. Coach Keath has been playing soccer since he was five and loves getting to pass on his passion for soccer to the next generation of young athletes. When Coach Keath is not on Soccer Island, you can find him working in his garden or caring for his pet snake, Monty!
An avid Barcelona FC fan, Coach Josue is passionate about every aspect of the game! Originally from Mexico, Coach Josue and his four siblings made their way to the Houston area where he played for local club Space City Futbol Club, and then moved on to the South Houston High School Trojans! After high school, he attended the University of Houston and graduated with his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Coach Josue has plans to one day become a Physical Education teacher, and can be found studying for his teacher certification at his favorite restaurant, Chipotle!
Coach Luis was born and raised in Mexico City, but moved to Texas after high school with his family. He is currently attending Lone Star College to continue his studies in business and hopes to find a career path that ties into soccer. Luis has many years of experience playing in Mexico for youth teams at Club America and Chivas Futbol Club, which has motivated him to share his passion with the younger generation of players. During his spare time, he enjoys watching soccer on TV, joining a pick-up game or playing some FIFA!
Coach Sebastian grew up in Colombia with his parents, then moved to the Houston area with his wife to pursue a career in childhood education. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in education at the North American University where he plays soccer for the club team. During his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, spending time with his family and traveling to new and exciting places around the world. He hopes to one day visit Japan!
Coach Rodrigo “Roro” grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, with a family full of brothers. He is currently studying Sports Management at the University of Houston, and has spent the past three years working as a coach. Roro loves sharing his passion of soccer with kids, but when he’s off the field, you can find him exercising and eating at his favorite restaurant, Hop Doddy. Coach Roro is fluent in both Spanish and English, and also enjoys playing a variety of musical instruments!
Coach Jesus grew up in Queens, New York with his two dogs, Tobi and Jacob! Soccer has always been a part of his life, and he is most looking forward to spreading the love for the sport and having a positive impact on the Soccer Shots community. Coach Jesus also enjoys eating pizza and watching his favorite show, The Walking Dead. He most admires Leonel Messi, and his favorite soccer team is Barcelona. He speaks both Spanish and English, and enjoys spending his free time playing the piano!
Coach Angelica “Jelly” was born and raised here in Houston and is a butterfly enthusiast! She has her own Texas Native butterfly farm and hopes to one day open a gardening business to help the Monarch butterfly population and other pollinators. When she’s not gardening and farming, she’s attending the University of Houston Downtown as she finishes her Bachelor of Arts degree!
Coach Josiah joins Soccer Shots Houston all the way from Florida, where he attended the University of South Florida in Tampa and spent as much time as possible enjoying the beach! Now, as a University of Houston Cougar, he is currently pursuing a degree in Petroleum Engineering. In addition to his many years of experience playing soccer, Coach Josiah also has a musical side and has been playing guitar and piano for over 18 years!
Coach Christian was born and raised in Houston! He attended Houston Baptist University where he played 2 years of Division I soccer and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He hopes to find a career path that ties into soccer and to continue impacting children on Soccer Island! During his spare time, he enjoys playing the drums (during the daytime and with respect to his neighbors, of course), playing basketball or working out!
Coach Manuel is originally from Venezuela, but moved to Houston at an early age! He began his soccer career at the age of eight and enjoys coaching young soccer players. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting at Lone Star College, but looks forward to becoming an outlet of pure fun for his All-Stars! Coach Manuel enjoys reading, working out, watching Real Madrid play and hopes to one day travel to Spain!
Coach Kevin grew up in Houston with his six brothers, two sisters, and three family dogs named Max, Tobi and Levi. He has been on the soccer field since the age of four, played throughout his middle and high school years and continues to play with the Tuzos Houston semi-pro team! Besides his passion for soccer, Coach Kevin also loves to train daily, play pick-up soccer games with friends, play FIFA and also watch soccer matches in his spare time. His ambition in life is to become a professional coach for the top leagues in Spain. Real Madrid, here he comes!
Coach Alondra made her way to Houston all the way from Brownsville, Texas where she grew up with her four siblings and parents! Her passion for soccer started in middle school and grew all the way to the college level where she even refereed intramural soccer games (so you know she’s tough)! Coach Alondra graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training at Sam Houston State University. During her spare time, she loves to watch movies, solve Disney puzzles and she can even solve a Rubik’s cube in under two minutes!
Coach Anniston “Annie” was born and raised in Houston with her two siblings, parents and 3 dogs, Luna, Lilith and Elio! She attended the University of Houston where she graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Sociology. She has played soccer since the age of 4 and hopes to pass on her love of playing on the field to the children of Houston. Coach Anniston plans to one day free the orcas from Sea World and can be found skating, painting and dancing when she’s not on Soccer Island!
Coach Cameron was born and raised in Houston with her two siblings, parents and two dogs, Winston and AJ! She’s currently attending the University of Houston in her pursuit of her Bachelors degree in Psychology. Once she graduates, she hopes to become a child and adolescent therapist. She has played soccer for 12 years as either a goalie, forward or right wing! Coach Cameron is fluent in American Sign Language, and also enjoys singing and riding motorcycles! We’re convinced she can do just about anything!
Coach Bello made his way to Houston all the way from Nigeria where he grew up with his seven siblings. His passion for soccer started at a very young age and he eventually played in Colton, Manchester for Kings David College! Coach Bello is currently at Houston Community College pursuing a degree in Software Development. In his free time, you can find Coach Bello playing soccer, studying or cycling around the city!
Coach JC is a sports enthusiast that is passionate about soccer! He played goalie for the majority of his high school career. Coach JC is currently studying communications at the University of Houston – Downtown. After he graduates he would love to become a sports journalist, but also wants the time to visit every Premier League stadium and learn about the soccer culture in different parts of the world! Mind if we come along, Coach JC?
Coach Matthew’s journey of soccer began at the early age of three! He played soccer for 11 years, traveling to play in different states such as Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma and Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business and a minor in Communications. Aside from soccer, he enjoys voice acting, playing pool and video games! Coach Matthew hopes to one day to attend a Champions League Final!
Coach Domos found his way to Soccer Shots from his home country of Hungary! He began playing soccer at the age of six and played midfielder for the Houston Express. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Houston and hopes to become a teacher! In addition to his passion for soccer, Coach Domos has an affinity for water polo and enjoys spending time in the kitchen concocting new baking and BBQ recipes!
Coach Jose is a Houston native and is currently studying Accounting at Houston Baptist University. Along with his love for coaching and soccer, Coach Jose is quite a math whiz, and can do complex math equations in his head! Will Hunting, we’ve got a competitor! His dream is to travel and he is most interested in visiting France. When not on Soccer Island, you can find Coach Jose playing FIFA or walking his pet husky, Kilo!
Coach Dan is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to Houston with his four brothers and one sister. He started playing soccer at the age of five, and it has been a lifelong passion ever since! Coach Dan is trilingual in Swahili, French and English, is studying Sports Management at Houston Baptist University, and is a die-hard Arsenal fan! As a coach with Soccer Shots, he appreciates the opportunity to teach children the importance of determination and teamwork through soccer!
Coach Dariana found her way to the States from her home country of Honduras! She began playing soccer at the age of five and is currently a student athlete at the University of Alderson Broaddus where she is studying Exercise Science. Before joining Soccer Shots, Coach Dariana had been training a youth girls team for two years and above all, she wants to be known for her passion for positively impacting young athletes! Outside of coaching soccer, she loves hiking and hopes to one day visit the Amazon Rainforest!
Coach David is invested in the art of growing to keep evolving as an individual! He has been playing soccer for 11 years and would like to pass on his passion of soccer as a coach to the youth players in Houston! Aside from soccer, Coach David enjoys MMA, playing guitar and training at the gym. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree of Exercise Science at the University of Houston and would like to become a physical therapist!
Coach Jose is currently studying advertising at Houston Baptist University. He’s a super fan of FC Barcelona and would love to attend El Clasico to knock it off his bucket list! Coach Jose has previously played for Texas United, but now continues to play in a Sunday league with his friends. When he’s not kicking a soccer ball, you can find Coach Jose spending time with his family or being a pop-culture trivia wizard!
Coach Jennifer is a born and raised Houstonian – go H-town! She’s adventurous and passionate about what she does in life. One thing on her bucket list is to go water rafting in the Gualey River in West Virginia! Coach Jennifer enjoys cooking or going to her favorite Japanese restaurant. Lets not forget to mention that Coach Jennifer has graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice! Superhero in training?
Coach Abdul is an international student from Saudi Arabia! He graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering Tech. He began playing soccer at the age of six and continues to play to this day! He played with a professional team called Al Ahil KSA for two years and taught professional soccer with Global Academy. When Coach Abdul is not coaching he’s enjoying some fresh air and staying hydrated with homemade lemonade!
Our funny and kind Coach Dani is from Friendswood, Texas! She loves being outside, by the water, either playing golf or gazing into the clouds thinking about the day she’ll sky dive. Coach Dani is a Texas Southern alumni who has her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Sports Science. When she is not coaching soccer, she’s watching her favorite soccer teams, the Houston Dash and Houston Dynamo. Dale, dale, dale Dynamo and Dash!
Coach Musa made his way to Houston all the way from South Africa! Three words to describe him would be exciting, confident and outgoing! One awesome fact about Coach Musa is that he speaks three languages: English, Swahili and Zulu. He is also working on becoming fluent in Spanish! One goal of his is to travel to every country in the world and watch a match of Liverpool or Real Madrid. Anfield, here he comes!
