After graduating from the College of William and Mary, Wade spent 12 years playing professional soccer for clubs including the San Jose Earthquakes, AGF Aarhus in the Danish SuperLiga, Norway’s Fredrikstad Football Club and our very own Houston Dynamo. Wade captained the Dynamo to back to back MLS Cup Championships in 2006 and 2007 and has also represented the Men’s National team on the pitch. After his playing career, Wade spent 7 years coaching for the Dynamo, most recently as the Head Coach. As a true fan of the game and the city of Houston, he has joined the Soccer Shots team to share his passion with the youth of our city. He loves to go on adventures with his wife Haley and their twins, Jack and Logan. Wade is one of the healthiest people you will meet, a vegan, and a talented ultra-marathon runner.

Coach Juan spent his childhood in El Salvador, where he grew up playing soccer with various different club teams in the area! Once his family moved to Manvel, Texas, he joined the MHS varsity soccer team. Coach Juan received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Houston and is now pursuing his MBA at Houston Baptist University. He plans to continue coaching full-time and loves teaching children about soccer. Coach Juan’s favorite movie is Toy Story and his favorite athlete is Lionel Messi.
Coach Sarah made her way to Houston from Pennsylvania where she grew up with her sister, younger brother, and their dog Scarlett! She began her soccer career early playing for numerous select teams up through her high school days, and eventually as a Viking for Grand View University. Coach Sarah has previous years of coaching experience around her community and thoroughly enjoys making sure that all of her All-Stars have fun while learning the beautiful game! Coach Sarah enjoys reading, music, and has traveling to Africa on the top of her bucket list!
Coach Natalia grew up in Bogota, Colombia with her parents and two sisters – one of which is her twin, Coach Tatiana! She played soccer for Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, where she studied general business and marketing. Her playing experience also includes the 2012 London Olympic games, and she currently plays semi-professionally for the the Houston Aces. She has coached at Texas United and Westbury Soccer Clubs, and has received her “E” coaching license. Coach Natalia’s favorite color is Soccer Shots orange, and she loves to watch movies and eat Chipotle!
Coach Rodrigo grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, with a family full of brothers. He is currently studying Sports Management at the University of Houston, and has spent the past three years working as a coach. Rodrigo loves sharing his passion of soccer with kids, but when he’s off the field, you can find him exercising and eating at his favorite restaurant, Hop Doddy. Coach Rodrigo is fluent in both Spanish and English, and also enjoys playing a variety of musical instruments!
Coach Austin’s passion for soccer started early, playing for NC Classic Soccer Club in his hometown of Cary, NC. Austin went on to represent the Liberty University Flames in his college career. After graduating with a degree in religion, he earned his USSF National E License and USSF Referee Certifications. He also assisted and coached at the high school level, as well as for a private club in North Carolina for 8 & 9 year olds! He now enjoys spending his time helping at home, improving his work, helping at his church, or watching his own 5-year old Soccer Shots All-Star go through the program!
Coach Jesus grew up in Queens, New York with his two dogs, Tobi and Jacob! Soccer has always been a part of his life, and he is most looking forward to spreading the love for the sport and having a positive impact on the Soccer Shots community. Coach Jesus also enjoys eating pizza and watching his favorite show, The Walking Dead. He most admires Leonel Messi, and his favorite soccer team is Barcelona. He speaks both Spanish and English, and enjoys spending his free time playing the piano!
Coach “Jelly” grew up in Houston with her 3-legged dog, Astro, and spends her days playing soccer and drinking her favorite banana smoothies! After she finishes college, she plans to combine her love for education and soccer, and pursue a career as a science teacher and full time soccer coach. Next time you’re on Soccer Island, ask her about her butterfly farm and garden!
Coach Josiah joins Soccer Shots Houston all the way from Florida, where he attended the University of South Florida in Tampa and spent as much time as possible enjoying the beach! Now, as a University of Houston cougar, he is currently pursuing a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Besides his many years of experience playing soccer, Coach Josiah also has a musical side and has been playing guitar and piano for over 18 years!
Coach Melissa E.
Coach Melissa grew up just south of Houston in Manvel, TX with her older brother and sister! She began playing soccer at the early age of 7 for the local youth soccer club, and eventually played for the varsity team at Manvel High School. Coach Melissa has earned a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Houston, and hopes to one day attend medical school for Physical Therapy! You can usually find Coach Melissa exploring the outdoors, playing soccer, or lifting weights!
An avid Barcelona FC fan, Coach Josue is passionate about every aspect of the game! Originally from Mexico, Coach Josue and his four siblings made their way to the Houston area where he played for local club team Space City Futbol Club, and then on for the South Houston High School Trojans! After high school, he attended the University of Houston and graduated with his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Coach Josue has plans to one day become a Physical Education teacher, and can be found studying for his teacher certification at his favorite restaurant, Chipotle!
Originally from New York, Coach Erin has spent a majority of her life honing her soccer skills on various club teams under the leadership of her dad! She’s eager to inspire the youth of our community and hopes to spread the same joy that soccer has given to her over the years. Coach Erin is a huge Tottenham Hotspurs fan, and loves snacking on Chick-Fil-A or Peanut Butter M&M’s! When not on the soccer field, you can find Coach Erin training a local high school women’s lacrosse team or painting with her daughter!
Coach Denyse grew up in Mexico with her sister and two brothers then moved to Texas at a young age. She attended Jersey Village High school where she held a leadership role as the varsity team captain and continued her soccer career in her first collegiate years at Lone Star College. Denyse is currently enrolled at Houston Community College studying Film Production and Editing. Her dream is to be a film director or producer! When she is not on the field, you can find Denyse exploring her creative side by drawing or painting!
Coach Luis was born and raised in Mexico City but moved to Texas after high school with his family. He is currently attending Lone Star College to continue his studies in business and hopes to find a career path that ties into soccer. Luis has many years of experience playing in Mexico for the youth America and Chivas Futbol Club, which has influenced him to share his passion with the younger generation of players. During his spare time, he enjoys watching the latest soccer matches, joining a pick-up game or playing some Fifa!
Coach Sebastian grew up in Colombia with his parents then moved to the Houston area with his wife to pursue a career in childhood education. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in education at the North American University where he plays soccer for the club team. During his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, spending time with his family and traveling to a new place around the world. He hopes to one day visit Japan!
Coach Noah is a local Houstonian attending the University of Houston – Downtown to pursue a bachelor’s in Social Work. He cultivated a love of soccer a little later in his youth, but got the opportunity to play for his High school and a local club in Manvel, Texas. His first role as a coach was coaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at his father’s gym. During his spare time, he enjoys creating art or playing soccer. After graduation he hopes to one day impact the Houston community through Social Work!
Coach Oscar has recently moved to Houston from the Pikeville, Kentucky where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Pikeville. He is originally from El Salvador, where he fell in love with the game of soccer and eventually got the opportunity to play four years of collegiate soccer. He even got to play for El Salvador’s U-17 national team as well as semi-professional team before moving to Kentucky. During his spare time, he enjoys playing his guitar!
Coach David made his way to Houston all the way from New Jersey where he grew up with his sister! His passion for soccer started at the age of three and later played four years of high school ball while also playing in multiple soccer clubs in the Houston area. Coach David is currently at Houston Community College but looks forward to transferring to the University of Houston to pursue his degree in Computer Information Systems. In his free time, you can find Coach David fishing, playing soccer or working out!
Coach Taylor is originally from Katy, Texas where she grew up with her parents and older brother. She began playing soccer when she was five years old, and has only grown to love the game more as she played with Texas Premier Soccer Club and her high school team! Taylor earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Texas State University and plans to become an elementary teacher. In her spare time, Coach Taylor loves spending time with her puppy, reading, singing karaoke, and spending a lot of time with her family!
Coach Christian was born and raised in Houston, Texas! He attended Houston Baptist University where he played 2 years of Division I soccer and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He hopes to find a career path that ties into soccer and is passionate about positively impacting children. During his spare time, he enjoys playing the drums, playing basketball or working out!
Coach Julia grew up in Southeast Houston,Texas with her older brother and sister. She has been on the soccer field since she was six years old and played 2 years of club in college. She then proceeded to coach for four years at YES Prep for the middle school and varsity team as the head coach! Besides her passion for soccer, Coach Julia also loves to have game nights with friends, running and just overall playing outside. When she isn’t playing soccer, you can find her cheering on the U.S Women’s National Team or just overall enjoying the outdoors!
Coach Natalie grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina with her parents, older brother and dog, Brodie! Soccer has always been a part of her life, and played all the way to her last year of High school! Natalie earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from University of North Carolina at Wilmington and eventually wants to work in collegiate or professional sports! Coach Natalie also enjoys attending basketball games, watching soccer and also exploring Houston! She hopes to one day visit the Niagara Falls!
Coach Manuel made his way to Houston from Venezuela where he grew up! He began his soccer career at the age of eight and enjoys coaching young soccer players become the best they can be. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting at Lone Star College but looks forward to becoming an outlet of pure fun for his All-Stars! Coach Manuel enjoys reading, working out, watching Real Madrid play, and hopes to one day travel to Spain!
Coach Julio originally from Lake Jackson,Texas has been playing soccer since the age of 3! He has played with various club teams, High school, collegiate and even traveled to Spain and Costa Rice in attempt to become a professional soccer player. Coach Julio attended the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and graduated with his Bachelors degree in Sports Management meanwhile he also volunteered at camps for children during his four years of college! Coach Julio plans to one day take a Euro trip , and can be found playing playstation or spending time with his wife when he’s not on Soccer Island!
Coach Kevin grew up in Houston,Texas with his six brothers, two sisters and three family dogs Max, Tobi and Levi. He has been on the soccer field since the age of four, played through out his middle and high school years and continues to play with Tuzos Houston Semi-pro team! Besides his passion for soccer, Coach Kevin also loves to train daily, play pick-up soccer games with friends, play FIFA and also watch soccer matches on his spare time. His ambition in life is to become a professional coach for the top leagues in Spain one day!
Coach Jeremy made his way to Houston all the way from Maine with his dog Lulu! His passion for soccer is enormous, he played collegiate level with Southern Maine Community College and University of Maine. After graduating, he kept playing with KVK Wemmel in Belgium and also with SC Muiderberg in the Netherlands. He has six years of coaching experience and graduated at the University of Massachusetts Boston with is Master’s degree in education. Coach Jeremy looks forward to one day become a middle school ELA teacher, to keep impacting children’s lives.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Coach Alex moved to Houston with his family at the age of eight. He played with various teams growing up in the Houston area, and currently enjoys playing indoor soccer with his friends! He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He’s eager to inspire the youth of our community and to spread the same joy that soccer has given him! Coach Alex plans to one day go sky diving, and can be found playing indoor soccer or exploring the outdoors!
Coach Alondra made her way to Houston all the way from Brownsville, Texas where she grew up with her four siblings and parents! Her passion for soccer started in middle school and grew all the way to college where she even reffed intramural soccer games! Coach Alondra graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training at Sam Houston State University. During her spare time, she love to watch movies, solve Disney puzzles and can solve a rubik’s cube in under two minutes!
Coach Anniston was born and raised in Houston, Texas with her two siblings, parents and 3 dogs ( Luna, Lilith and Elio)! She attended the University of Houston where she graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Sociology. She has played soccer since the age of 4 and hopes to pass on her passions of playing on the field to the children. Coach Anniston plants to one day free the orcas from Sea World , and can be found skating, painting and also dancing when she’s not on Soccer Island!
