Coach Carlos was born in Naples, Florida but was raised in Brownsville, Texas. He began playing soccer since the age of 3 playing in tournaments all over Texas, Mexico, and in Florida at the IMG academy. He graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Coach Carlos, played in high school, college, and in a semi-professional soccer team after his collegiate career was over in Texas. He was the team captain in all three teams respectively. While in college, he was a scholar athlete and received all conference and all tournament team honors. Coach Carlos, became a PE teacher at an elementary school before moving to Florida and has a passion for working with children. While in Florida, he was a director for the SWFL Soccer Shots Franchise.
Now in Kansas City, Coach Carlos loves everything about the mission behind Soccer Shots and building a stronger youth beyond the game. He hopes to make a positive impact not only with the children but in the community as well.
A native South Floridian, Walter graduated from Florida State University earning a B.S. in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Management. For the last 18 years he has served his community as both a Firefighter for the Iona McGregor Fire District and youth soccer coach for children playing at the recreation and club level. Through coaching he has experienced the joy of the game and the lasting positive impacts it has on children. He believes that Soccer Shots provides the perfect opportunity to continue building stronger youth beyond the game. In his spare time, Coach Walter can be found seeking outdoor adventure on local trails, tinkering in his garage, or hanging out with his wife Britney and three children, Jayda, Walter, and Kennedy at the park.
Coach Reagan is a Kansas City, Missouri native. In her free time she loves spending time with friends and family, going on walks, and playing with her dogs. Coach Reagan is ecstatic to be working with children and spread the message of Soccer Shots!
Coach Alyssa was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. She played soccer from ages 3 to 18 and played competitively and for her high school team. She is currently receiving her bachelor’s degree for Psychology and Spanish from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
In her free time, Alyssa enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching movies. Alyssa has a passion for helping others and working with kids. She is very excited to be helping children learn the basics of soccer while also learning valuable life lessons with Soccer Shots!
Coach Martin is from Santiago, Chile but resides in Kansas City. He has been around sports since a young age, but was always linked to soccer in a really strong and passionate way. He graduated from Park University in Parkville, MO with a bachelors degree in Sports and Exercise Science. While in college, he was a student-athlete during his four years there as he was part of the mens soccer team. In his spare time, Martin enjoys playing video games and eating healthy natural food.
Coach Martin has learned so much from his coaches throughout his playing career and is excited on becoming a coach to share and teach the beautiful game of soccer with the children in Soccer Shots!
Coach Maya grew up in Kansas City, MO. She started playing soccer at 4 years old and played competitively until she graduated college in 2022. She graduated with majors in Spanish and Exercise Science, and is now pursuing a Master’s in Kinesiology.
In her free time, she loves to go for walks, read, and play pickup soccer games with her friends. She is delighted to be teaching kids soccer and to be working with the amazing soccer program Soccer Shots.
Coach Abbey is a Kansas City, Missouri native. She has played soccer from ages 4 to 15, while also playing competitively. She is working towards a major in Physical Education at the University of Central Missouri.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, playing all types of card and yard games, and listening to music. She is very excited to work with children and introduce them to soccer with Soccer Shots!
Coach Halle grew up in Kansas City, MO. She played soccer from ages 8 to 18 and was a youth soccer referee for 5 years. She is currently working to receive her bachelor’s degree from University of Central Missouri.
In her free time, Halle enjoys painting, reading, and swimming. She is excited to become a coach and help children learn the basics of soccer with Soccer Shots!
Coach Mira is from Fayetteville, NC. She played soccer from ages 9 to 18, and she is currently working towards a bachelors degree in Social Work.
She loves making art, listening to music, and exploring the city with friends. She is exited to make an impact and have tons of fun with the kids at Soccer Shots!
