Jen grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and moved back to the area a few years ago with her husband and two children. Soccer has always been a big part of her life. Her high school soccer team won a Wisconsin state championship. She was a team captain and played Division I soccer at the University at Albany. She has a U.S. Soccer National D License. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communications, an associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a master’s degree in Sports Management. Jen has over 15 years of coaching experience working with children of all ages. She launched Soccer Shots Madison in the fall of 2019. She is excited and passionate about the opportunity to bring Soccer Shots to the area she grew up in. Jen’s goal is to positively impact the lives of children. She is dedicated to deliver a fun and memorable experience for every child through the awesome game of soccer!
Coach Rachel has been a part of our Soccer Shots team since the summer of 2021. She grew up in Janesville, WI and began playing soccer at the age of four. She continued to play club soccer through Milton Soccer Club, and played for Janesville Craig in high school. She graduated from the UW-Madison with a BA in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a dual degree in M.S./Ed.S in School Psychology at UW-Madison. Coach Rachel loves working with children, and is excited to be a part of the Soccer Shots team.
Coach Veronica grew up in Schamburg, IL, and began playing soccer when she was six years old. She played club soccer in elementary school and later played for her high school’s team. In high school, she coached soccer and gymnastics for the Special Olympics for three years. She also has experience working as an after-school camp counselor and a nanny. Coach Veronica loves working with kids! She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in Biology and hopes to attend dental school in the future. Coach Veronica says that her favorite part about coaching with Soccer Shots is being able to see how much the children improve from week to week.
Coach Norah grew up in Madison WI. She attends Madison Area Technical College and is studying Environmental Science and Renewable Energy. In high-school she was the captain of the Girls Varsity Soccer Team. Coach Norah’s favorite part about Soccer Shots is that children can surprise her with their skills. She enjoys seeing the growth of youth soccer and the positive impact it has on children. Outside of coaching, Norah enjoys movie nights with her friends, playing instruments, spending time outside and playing video games.
Coach Jaclyn is from Crystal Lake, IL. She started playing soccer when she was six years old. She played through high school and still plays for a recreational league here in Madison. Coach Jaclyn has experience working in child-care and has worked as a nanny for several families. Her love for children and for soccer led her right to Soccer Shots Madison! Coach Jac's favorite thing about Soccer Shots is building connections with each child she coaches and watching them grow more confident each season.
Coach Aly is from Chicago, IL. She attends UW-Madison and is studying Psychology. She played soccer all throughout her childhood and high school, and has loved being able to get back on the field with Soccer Shots! Aly loves working with kids, in addition to coaching she has experience working as a camp counselor. In her free time, she likes to read, explore Madison, and spend time with her friends and family.
Coach Toni grew up in Madison and recently moved back after spending the past four years in Seattle, where she mentored youth navigating the foster care system. She comes from a soccer-loving family, and started playing at 4 years old. She graduated UW-Madison with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies. She has been fortunate to work with communities in various capacities, from completing two AmeriCorps service terms, to working as a camp counselor at various summer camps in the past. Her favorite part about coaching with Soccer Shots is seeing kids outside, having fun while also challenging themselves to learn something new!
Coach Eric is originally from the East Coast. He is currently a high school teacher and spends a lot of time trying to help and guide teens in the classroom and on the field. Being part of Soccer Shots allows him to extend the opportunity to be able to reach out to more children and share his passion of teaching and coaching.
Coach Julia grew up in Sun Prairie, WI and recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Madison with degrees in Environmental Science and Philosophy. Julia started playing soccer in 2nd grade. Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is getting to help children be confident in themselves and their own abilities. Outside of coaching, Julia enjoys running, watching sci-fi movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Coach Adam is from Greenwood, Indiana but has lived in Madison for the past several years as he graduated with a Masters in mechanical engineering from UW-Madison. Adam started playing soccer when he was 7 years old and hasn’t stopped playing since. The highest level Adam competed at was on the club level during his undergraduate studies at Murray State University. These days you can find Coach Adam playing in adult leagues around Madison. Outside of soccer, Adam loves to go hiking with his dogs, playing the guitar, and watching his favorite sports teams. His favorite aspect of Soccer Shots is having an opportunity to share his passion for soccer with kids through a fun and engaging curriculum!
Coach Natalie grew up in Inver Grove Heights, MN, where she began playing soccer at five years old. She played club soccer throughout her life and played for her high school team. Coach Natalie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Coach Natalie enjoys working with Soccer Shots and loves the youthful energy and resilience that the children bring to each session! Outside of Soccer Shots, Coach Natalie loves spending time outdoors, reading books, listening to music, and playing cards.
Coach Grace is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying Communication Sciences and Disorders. Grace has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. Her favorite part of coaching with Soccer Shots is seeing the children start to really enjoy the game that she loves so much. When she is not coaching, you can find Coach Grace going on walks, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
