Sean Burke – Owner / Director Born and raised in Richmond Hill, Sean Burke grew up playing rep soccer and hockey in the community. He has been a member of the Markham community for more than 10 years, where he and his family actively participate in sports and recreation. Sean hold’s a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management. After working in sales and Human Resources roles, Sean is excited to combine his love of sports and making a difference in the community with his career through Soccer Shots. He has always enjoyed coaching young people and seeing them grow, something he was able to see while operating in-line skating camps and teaching lessons, and while coaching one of the first youth in-line hockey teams in Ontario to a championship. Sean is passionate about positively impacting the lives of children in the Markham and Richmond Hill communities through sports-based development, all while having fun!

From Markham, Ontario, started playing soccer at age 5 for Unionville-Milliken SC. After 10 years, she joined Glen Shields FC, winning league, league cup, and Ontario cup championships. She now plays for North York Cosmos SC in the Ontario Women's Soccer League. She enjoys ultimate frisbee, volleyball, snowboarding, making art, and supporting her little cousins, niece, and nephew. Passionate about coaching, she focuses on kindness and patience, aiming to create a safe and encouraging learning environment. Studying to become a high school teacher at Brock University, majoring in Mathematics with a second teaching in English, she loves coaching at Soccer Shots for its fun approach and emphasis on self-belief.

Coach Taylor has been coaching for over 8 years now. She started coaching soccer camp at Markham Soccer Club and became part of the Soccer Shots team in 2022. Coach Taylor was born in Toronto and moved to Markham when she was 3. She has been playing soccer ever since she was in grade 4. She played for both Markham and Richmond Hill soccer clubs. This year (2024) she had just graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Real Estate Management. As Coach Taylor closes that chapter she continues to further her education in pursuing her Real Estate license. She enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her loved ones in her free time. Being here at Soccer Shots she is beyond grateful for the amazing children, fellow coaches and opportunities that have made her coaching experience impactful. Coach Taylor hopes to guide young children in developing a love for soccer and skills on and off the field. Fun fact Coach Taylor’s brother Coach Mark is also a part of the Soccer Shots team!

Also known as (Coach K) grew up in Markham, Ontario. He started playing rep soccer at 8 for United Soccer Sport Club, which ignited his love for the game. He played varsity soccer at Middlefield Collegiate Institute and coached young children at his former club. A basketball enthusiast and Toronto Raptors fan, he earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and health science from York University and plans to pursue physiotherapy. At York, he volunteered with KINKIDS, promoting active play for children. Coach Kabilan looks forward to sharing his passion for soccer and positively impacting children’s lives through coaching at Soccer Shots.

Born and raised in Markham, Ontario, has played soccer for Markham Soccer Club since a young age. Her love for soccer and working with children led to roles as a Teacher’s Assistant with the York Region District School Board and a volunteer at City of Markham and Markham Sports Dome sports camps. She has experience with children of diverse backgrounds and special needs. Energetic and friendly, Alexandra creates a safe and inclusive environment. In her final year of high school, she plans to become an elementary school teacher and is excited to combine her passions at Soccer Shots.

Born and raised in the GTA, fell in love with soccer at 9, inspired by the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He represented his elementary and high school teams as a defender and honed his skills in Markham house league. His coach instilled confidence in him, driving his passion for the game. Navein also achieved his black belt in taekwondo and now instructs future black belts. He continues to play in men’s league soccer while completing his Economics major at Ryerson University for his Business Degree. Passionate about youth development through sports, he aims to positively impact children in the Markham and Richmond Hill communities.

Born in Scarborough and raised between Scarborough and Markham, I started my soccer journey in a little league at the age of 4. This year marks my first venture into coaching, as I joined Soccer Shots. When not on the field, I enjoy writing, playing music, and competing in Tetris. However, coaching Soccer Shots has quickly become my favorite pastime. There's nothing quite like the thrill of cheering for players when they score a goal and celebrating their success with a big high five.

Been playing soccer since she was 6 years old and grew up in Markham. Coach Ameena has been coaching soccer for a few years now and her passion is childcare. She’s in school for ECE and has loved playing soccer her whole life. I love coaching at Soccer Shots because it has been a very welcoming and supportive experience for her and she can tell how important Soccer Shots is to these kids.

Amon Dehchaiy was born and raised in Richmond Hill Ontario, he started getting into soccer when he was young and became a massive Manchester United fan, he started coaching basketball about 6 years ago, and now has started coaching soccer because he is a big fan of both and loves passing down the skills he learned when he was younger to the next generation of athletes. He loves playing basketball and watching movies, soccer shots is important to him because sports is his passion, weather playing or coaching he enjoys every minute of it.

Born and raised in Markham, Ontario,, Coach Eleni played soccer since age 4 and have always loved the game. As a coach, she has seen children thrive and accomplish new milestones, which brings her great joy. When she's not coaching, she enjoy spending time with friends, taking long drives, and traveling with family. She loves working at Soccer Shots because of its welcoming and positive environment, and the amazing coaching staff. Everyone here feels like one big soccer family! Soccer Shots is the best!!!!!

Coach Sydney, known as Coach Syd, grew up in Markham, Ontario, and started playing soccer at age 5. She played for several teams in Canada, including the Unionville Strikers, Richmond Hill Raiders, and Brampton United. She also played flag football for four years at Bill Crothers Secondary School. In the US, she earned degrees from Post University (bachelor's in sports management) and Harcum College (associate's in marketing). Coach Syd loves hiking, working out, and spending time with family and friends. With a passion for soccer, she aims to give back to her hometown community through coaching with Soccer Shots.
