Meet The Coaches

Coach Sarah was born & raised in Jefferson, NJ. She grew up playing a ton of soccer herself and still does! She was refereeing soccer as well right before the pandemic hit!

When Sarah is not coaching for Soccer Shots, she loves to hang out with friends, share laughs, & of course play soccer!

Sarah is currently attending Montclair State University with an Elementary Education major and Psychology minor. Although Sarah was born & raised in NJ, most of her family is residing in Brazil!

Best Advice or encouragement for a parent of a struggling Soccer Shots player:
Never give up on your young player! “It’s better to try and fail than to fail and not try at all”

Why do you work for Soccer Shots:
Soccer Shots is a combination of my 2 favorite things, soccer and happy children. Every time I coach it bring a smile to my face 🙂

Coach Joe was born & raised in Totowa, NJ. He grew up playing a ton of soccer for 13 years of his life as well as coached for 2!

When Joe is not coaching for Soccer Shots, he loves spending time with friends, watching sports with family, & playing soccer!

Joe is currently a sophomore in college. He is supported by his his dad & grandparents! Soccer is really important to Joe’s family & has always been apart of their lives. Growing up they’d play soccer with Joe & his two brothers in the backyard all the time!

Best Advice or encouragement for a parent of a struggling Soccer Shots player:
Stick with it, it gets easier the more you practice, just keep going!

Why do you work for Soccer Shots:
I like working with kids and love soccer! I was inspired by soccer when I was young and fell in love with the sport and I want to give kids what I had as a kid!
