Raised by English parents, Andy has been playing soccer since he could walk. He achieved various levels as a player, such as three-time varsity letter winner, five-time Olympic Development Program player, one-time high school soccer state champion and four years as a player at the University of Miami. Andy has also been coaching soccer since the age of 14, where his first coaching job was instructing children 2-5 years of age. He went on to coach competitive club soccer in Pittsburgh, Pa., for five years. In college, Andy earned his teaching certification along with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. After graduating in 2010, Andy has worked as a Soccer Shots franchise owner and director. Andy combines his passion for soccer with his calling as a teacher and a mentor while coaching soccer teams, running summer soccer games and giving one-on-one soccer lessons.
Alex has been with Soccer Shots for over 10 years, starting as a coach in his hometown of Pittsburgh before linking up with his brother Andy down here in Atlanta and is now Executive Director for Soccer Shots Atlanta. Alex played soccer year-round whilst growing up, played four years of varsity soccer and won a National Indoor Championship at 15. He went on to play soccer with players from all over the world when he moved to the UK to get his BA degree in Acting. Alex combines his theater background, his love for the beautiful game, and his passion for teaching everyday here at Soccer Shots!
Andrew has enjoyed playing sports of all kinds since a toddler. His first interaction with team sports impacted him in a positive way and he believes that being a part of organized sport is an amazing way to learn and grow in a variety of vital ways. Andrew has played soccer at the club level in the United States and played semi-professional futsal in the United Kingdom. Andrew and his wife were soccer coaches in Brazil and have taken what they’ve learned from all over the world and are applying it all to the Soccer Shots way! Working with Soccer Shots has been a rich and rewarding experience for Andrew because he gets to see the same joy that he experienced as a young boy each and every day in the lives of those he coaches! Andrew is passionate about making a positive change in the lives of children, and he uses that passion to bring Soccer Shots into as many schools, childcare centers and parks as possible!
“and super instructors!“
“and Coach Leo is the best coach. He always tries to re-engage kids when their attention may be on something else or if they run off the field. He takes the time to make them feel welcome and comfortable.“
“So patient and sweet! They take the time to include every kid, work with their strengths and work on their weaknesses!“
“We’ve had three different coaches since we started Soccer Shots, and all of them have been great instructors, remembered the kids’ names, and did an excellent job getting all of the kids to participate. We’ve already recommended to several friends“
