Jasmine Waring

Jasmine Waring

Coaching Coordinator

Coach Jasmine lives in Fairfax, Virginia, and is from South Carolina! She has 3 guinea pigs named Michelangela, Picasso, and Vincent Van Gogh. Coach Jasmine enjoys arts and crafts, spending time with friends and family, and watching TV shows and movies. She is currently studying Health Education with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health.

Martin Ozores

Coach Martin is from Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to Silver Spring, MD in December, 2021. He decided to not go through college, but instead he has acquired a USSF (United States Soccer Federation) C level coaching license. Coach Martin joined Soccer Shots in January of 2022 and is excited to make a positive impact on every kid through the game that he loves. Outside of soccer, Martin enjoys playing video games and going for hikes. Coach Martin can be described as passionate, ambitious, and caring.

Daniel Wadson

Daniel Wadson

Coaching Coordinator

Coach Dan is from Bermuda and has been in Virginia since 2019. He has played soccer for over 20 years in Bermuda, America, England and Canada and has been coaching for the past 6 years. He graduated from George Mason University in 2021 and has been working in youth sports ever since, taking on his current role at Soccer Shots in February 2023. As a coach, his passion for soccer makes it easy for him to teach the game to kids of all ages, and most importantly, ensure they all have plenty of fun! In his spare time, he’s always watching his favourite soccer team Chelsea FC, playing video games, or going on hikes! As a person, Coach Dan can be described as a passionate, caring individual who wants to help everyone succeed.

Seth Stennett

Interim Operations Coordinator

Seth currently plays semi-professional soccer with Fredericksburg City United in the EPSL. He attended Northern Kentucky University and majored in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Business Administration. Seth has been coaching with Soccer Shots since the Fall of 2020. Soccer has made a major impact in his life and he wants to share the joy of soccer with the next generations. When Seth is not on Soccer Island, you can find him exploring cities and hiking in the woods.

Lyndsey May

Operations Coordinator

Coach Lyndsey graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a degree in Sports and Recreation Management with a minor in Leadership. Lyndsey’s whole career has been based off sports; she grew up playing many different sports and always enjoyed the competitiveness and the athletic atmosphere. She has worked her way to Soccer Shots and has enjoyed every second of it so far! Coach Lyndsey grew up mainly playing basketball, but she has coached soccer more. Her goal is to become a well rounded person where she can help the youth on and off the field!

Daniel Sayles

Daniel Sayles

Daniel grew up in Norfolk, VA, and has always been an avid lover of sports. Growing up he played soccer, basketball, and baseball. He has served as a coach for 4 years and is ready to bring that experience to the Soccer Shots family. A recent graduate of George Mason University’s Sport Management program, he is excited to be here serving as a Brand Ambassador. In his spare time, you can find Daniel making music or playing pickup games.

Coach Kofi is originally from Plainfield, New Jersey and currently lives in Stafford, Virginia! One of Coach Kofi’s favorite things to munch on are Plantain chips, his favorite book is ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ by Lorraine Hansberry, and he enjoys doing puzzles in his free time. Coach Kofi is very excited to start building a positive & fun environment to educate younger kids!

Coach Jacque was born in the Philippines and moved to Virginia in 2010. Coach Jacque is a Sophomore at George Mason University. She is majoring in Sport Management and is minoring in Sports Analytics. Coach Jacque has played recreational soccer for 10 years and is a big fan of watching women’s soccer! Outside of soccer, Coach Jacque likes to spend their free time watching TV shows and spending time with family. Coach Jacque is excited to meet the children they have the opportunity to coach and is excited to be a part of their soccer journey.

Micah Harris

Coach Micah is located in Fairfax, Virginia. He is in the process of obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from George Mason University. In Coach Micah’s free time outside of school and track practice, he enjoys playing video games, watching some of his favorite movies and shows, and taking a nice nap! He played soccer recreationally throughout his childhood. Coach Micah is so excited to be able to coach and be a positive impact on all of the kids he will get the chance to coach!

Alex Dunn

Coach Alex is originally from Ekaterinburg, Russia and currently lives in Annandale. He likes to snack on snack wraps and is most excited to see the interest and development of kids early experiences with soccer!

Einar Vargas

Coach

Coach Einar is originally from Ushuaia, Argentina. He has attended VCU and GMU with degrees in Biology and Business Management. He has a strong passion for soccer and his two favorite teams are Real Madrid and Manchester City. He is looking forward to playing soccer with the kids and seeing their smiles. Apart from soccer, Coach Einar enjoys anime, hiking, and video games. His favorite candy is Hersheys Chocolate. Coach Einar can be described as energetic, funny and happy!

Iuel Leia

Coach Iuel (pronounced “you-el”) is originally from Angola in Africa. He came to the US when he was 3 years old and started playing soccer as a way to make new friends. He played travel soccer all throughout his childhood until his family was stationed in Ghana in 2009. There, he was exposed to all kinds of new people and cultures and had the opportunity to play for his school. Coach Iuel has played soccer in: Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya, Spain, and many more countries! Although this is his first season with Soccer Shots, Iuel has been working with children as a swim instructor since 2018. Outside of his love for soccer, Iuel likes to go kayak fishing and loves to watch Superhero movies! Iuel is a fun, supportive and energetic coach who can’t wait to get to get started!

JaQuan Johnson

Coach Jaquan is from Richmond, Virginia. He moved to the Northern Virginia area about 3 years ago. He has worked for a smaller company dealing with kids on this same level and some even a bit older. He has coached high school football, and currently does personal training with kids who are learning how to play football and basketball at the beginner level. He graduated from a small private school in North Carolina called Chowan University with a Bachelors degree in Sports Management. Outside of working with kids and teaching them the basics of the sports they love, he loves to play video games and work out and still be apart of sports in all ways that don’t involve his job.

Jeremiah Hixson

Coach Jeremiah joined the Soccer Shots team in Fall 2022. He has a bachelors degree in Sports Management from the University of Lynchburg. Jeremiah has a French Bulldog and a Miniature Schnauzer! When he isn’t on Soccer Island, Jeremiah enjoys watching football and soccer, and playing video games.

Mary Byron

Coach Mary is from Reston, Virginia, and grew up playing soccer all over Northern Virginia. She also has experience competing in track and field, volleyball, and swim team. Coach Mary attended the University of Virginia earning a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. In her free time, Mary enjoys hiking with her dog, Henny, going to the pool, or relaxing at home reading a book. She also likes to express her creativity through her hobbies of photography and tie dye. She is excited to share her love for soccer with young soccer players and knows what a positive impact youth soccer can have.

Mynor is originally from the country of Guatemala! He now lives in Woodbridge, Virginia, and is looking forward to positively influencing the children through football.

Patricia Sanchez

Patricia Sanchez

Coach

Coach Patricia is from Reston, Va. She speaks Spanish and English. She decided to not go to college, but instead follow what she loves -playing soccer. Patricia has played soccer since she was 5 years old. Coach Patricia joined Soccer Shots March of 2022 and is excited to make a positive impact on every kid through the game that she loves. Outside of soccer, Patricia enjoys playing video games and doing outside work with her dad. Coach Patricia can be described as passionate, energetic, caring, outgoing and so much more once you get to know her.
