Coach Zain

Coach Zain

Born and Raised in Ottawa, Zain had a passion for soccer and sports from a young age, playing with the local Gloucester Dragons from the age of 7 and then playing with the Gloucester Hornets at age 13. He was always involved in sports activities in school and took part in school teams. Zain enjoyed helping and teaching others, as the oldest sibling of 2 younger brothers he always found himself playing, teaching, and helping his little brothers out. This lead him to work in daycares with children and various sports camps in his community.

Coach Eriq

Coach Eriq

Eriq is a 20 year old student at the university of Ottawa who grew up in a small town just outside of Ottawa playing soccer in his free time. Throughout school Eriq was always the most interested in soccer as compared to his classmates and came alive during the school soccer season. For this reason, Eriq switched schools to Franco Cite in Ottawa for the 10th grade onwards and joined their soccer education program. Around this time Eriq switched clubs to join the Ottawa Internationals from the Gloucester Hornets, where he met a coach from France who he worked with to develop his perspective of soccer. In 2021 Eriq moved to France and played soccer and coached children between the ages of 7-15 before returning home and continuing his studies in Human Kinetics.

Coach Rahim

Coach Rahim

Coach Rahim Has played a variety of sports competitively growing up but his first and everlasting passion was always soccer. Rahim played for the under 13 tier 1 club at Zamalek fc as a left wing in Egypt but soon he had respiratory issues that prevented him from playing so he pursued swimming as a form of therapy, little did he know this in turn would get him medals at the British Cobis medleys and getting seventh in the 1000 competitor 2017 african triathlon and even more. He later on decided to pursue his education elsewhere by moving to his moms hometown here in Canada and his love for sports is obvious.

So the first thing he did was return to his innate passion by showcasing his soccer skills and joining his schools soccer team whilst discovering his hidden talent (basketball). He played competitive basketball for the Kanata Cavaliers and after a year decided to shift focus on his academics while being active in the sports community; he was a sports/science facilitator at the YMCA for youth and worked with many charities to help kids excel at sports. Rahim is also a swim instructor and currently attends Uottawa where he will be juggling his first year of biomedical science while enjoying his passion for soccer through the soccer shots family. His experience with kids and sports allows him to know what it takes to teach the sport in a way that brings success in skills, a sense of teamwork and fun. He is high energy, loves working with kids, and most importantly loves the sport.

She has prior coaching experience back in her home of Toronto, Ontario; in which she coached at another soccer program and coached the grade 5 soccer team at Leo Baeck day school!
