Martin Eddy Harvey
Director of Coaching
Hello! My name is Martin Eddy Harvey and I was born and raised right here in Pittsburgh. Soccer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether it’s playing, coaching, or just watching- soccer is what I like to spend my time doing. Before joining the Soccer Shots team, I coached students both at the Elementary and High School levels. I’m very excited to coach and have fun with your kids this upcoming season! If you ever have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to talk to me. Thanks!
Hi there! My name is Sean Scott and I am originally from Carlisle, PA. I started playing soccer as a little kid, and I continued to play through my high school varsity years. My passion for the game is ever-present and I am excited to bring that passion to Soccer Shots! Aside from soccer, I graduated from Cal U of PA with a B.S. in Sport Management (2018) and then a M.S. in Athletic Administration (2020). I also come from a coaching background, volunteer coaching Jr. High basketball since 2015. I’m excited to bring my education, coaching experience and passion for the game to Soccer Shots!
Hello! My name is Billy Finnerty, aka Coach Billy. I am a Middle School Health/PE Teacher with the South Fayette Township School District where I also coach high school and middle school track & field. I have a passion for working with kids of all ages, especially in the athletics world. Athletics, especially soccer, have been a part of my life for more than 25 years. I have coached with Soccer Shots for five seasons and I have absolutely fallen in love with it! The enjoyment on the faces of the children each week is the most rewarding part of being a coach. I’m very excited for the opportunity to work with your child(ren) this upcoming season(s) and learn with them a love of movement, soccer and sportsmanship.
Coach Matt has been with Soccer Shots since 2011. When he’s not working he can be found volunteering his time as a coach for his community’s youth club, and spending time with his two young boys.
My name is Jen and I’ve been a coach with Soccer Shots for 6 years. I’ve played soccer since I was 5 and have 2 young children who currently play. I love having an impact on young children and helping introduce them to a healthy lifestyle and my favorite sport.
Hi Soccer Shots friends!
My name is Taylor and I have been a member of the Soccer Shots team since the summer of 2018. I am currently earning a Master of Arts in School and College Counseling after realizing that my real purpose was not working in marketing, but rather helping children. Prior to 2018, I had the opportunity to coach competitive sports, provide childcare, and teach children’s theatre programs. I am so lucky to have the privilege of meeting so many wonderful families through Soccer Shots. I look forward to helping your children develop a love for soccer, strengthening their ability to work as a team, and teaching them valuable lessons that they may carry with them long after they leave soccer island.
Hello, my name is Amanda Stein and I have had a love for the sport of soccer since I was 3 years old. I grew up in South Park and played soccer at many different levels. I have a degree in Elementary Education and have a passion for working with kids of all ages. I have been a coach for Soccer Shots for 2 years and I love having the opportunity to help children develop their love for sports and having an impact on them while they are introduced to new character traits and making new friends on Soccer Island. When I’m not working, I volunteer my time as a head coach for a boy’s travel team in South Park’s youth soccer program. I enjoy playing with my crazy puppy named Crosby, taking Crosby for long hikes, and spending time with my family. I’m looking forward to meeting your little ones and having an exciting and fun season of soccer!

Coach Matt grew up playing soccer from a young age, played in college, and still plays today. Since graduating from Thiel College, he has worked in finance and bought, operated, and later sold a business supply company. His children have graduated from Soccer Shots programs and he is excited to help teach your children the same great lessons. His kids couldn’t wait to get to school on Soccer Shots days!
Hello! My name is Coach Sam and I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me. I have been playing soccer ever since I can remember and has allowed me to develop into the person I am today. Likewise, I have been fortunate to play at the highest levels including National League, State Cup, and most recently at Washington and Jefferson College. This will be my first season with Soccer Shots and can’t explain the excitement I have with working with your child. Not only will we be introducing your child to the vital skills needed for the game, but more importantly, the life lessons that the beautiful game offers!
My name is Coach Tom Naughton and I have been a coach with Soccer Shots since September 2018. I played soccer in high school and played for a short period in college. I work as a high school social studies teacher during day, and coach for Soccer Shots in the afternoons. I love to cook, read, play video games, and play an assortment of sports on the weekends. Soccer Shots is an absolute blast, and I like to think I have just as much fun as the players!!
I’m Coach Mike! I played soccer throughout my whole life from age 3 and into college. I’ve coached soccer at many different levels including high school. My other job is in the film/video production field. I can’t wait to expand my knowledge of this beautiful game to your child as well as having a bunch of fun while in the process.
Hello, I’m Coach Matt! I am a 2012 graduate from Highlands High School and a 2016 graduate from Duquesne University. I have been playing soccer since micro level when I was four years old and I have grown to absolutely love the game. Playing sports in general, but mainly soccer, has helped teach me countless lessons in life including how be a good sport, how to interact with others, how to be a good teammate, how to be a leader, how to never give up, how to learn from defeats and so much more. As a coach I not only look forward to teaching kids how to play the game, but more importantly how to apply the lessons sports teach into everyday life.
