Where can my child participate in Soccer Shots?
Soccer Shots is held at childcare centers, preschools and schools, as well as public locations. Our public programs are open to the general public while our childcare center and school programs are only open to those enrolled at the location.
What type of equipment will my child need to participate?
Soccer Shots provides all of the equipment needed at each of our sessions. Your child should wear activity-appropriate, and weather-appropriate clothing. Purchasing cleats and shin guards are NOT necessary (shin guards are recommended for Classic and Premier sessions when scrimmaging).
How do I know the locations of the park programs?
To find public programs in your area, click here! You can also filter by child’s age, season, and location, by selecting these options from the drop-down menu.
Can I have Soccer Shots start a park program near me?
Yes! We are always willing to start a public program near you. The easiest way for this to happen is for you to form a group of eight children willing to take part in a Soccer Shots season. These could be children from your neighborhood, friends from church or synagogue, or your parent groups. We’re happy to help talk through ideas on how to make this happen. Please contact your local director for more information.
What can I expect from a Soccer Shots session?
Our weekly 30-40 minute sessions focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.
Soccer Shots will make every effort to determine the status of a session no later than 2 hours before the scheduled start time of the session, based on available hourly weather forecasts and field closures beyond our control. We will cancel sessions due to adverse weather conditions with short notice or while the session is in progress if the safety of the children is in question. Soccer Shots uses Child Care Weather Watch for guidance on adverse weather conditions. If we do cancel a session, we will post a weather alert on our website, notify you via email, text (if subscribed), and post all weather updates on our Facebook page as they occur.
How do I know if a session is cancelled due to in inclement weather?
Soccer Shots will notify you of any cancellations and make-up sessions. We generally try to notify you of cancellations no later than 2 hours before the scheduled start time of the session. We will use the email address and phone number we have on file for cancellation updates. Please check your security and spam settings to allow emails from Soccer Shots. If you use Gmail, please make sure to check the promotions folder.
If a session is cancelled due to weather, will there be a make-up session?
For scheduled seasons that are 10 weeks or less, Soccer Shots will hold the week that follows the last scheduled session as the inclement weather make-up date. There will be ONE inclement weather make-up date per season. In the case of inclement weather, Soccer Shots will notify you of any cancellations and make-up sessions. If the season is 11 weeks or more, there will be TWO inclement weather make-up dates per season (dates and location will be based upon site availability).
*In the event of inclement weather on a scheduled make-up session date, there will be no additional make-up dates scheduled.
What happens if I enroll for a season that gets cancelled?
Soccer Shots reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, a refund for the cost of the season, MINUS the enrollment fee, will be processed.
If a session or season needs to be canceled for any reason, Soccer Shots MAY provide alternative programming as a replacement such as Soccer Shots On The Go or a virtual session.
What is your refund/credit policy?
We realize that, from time to time, families need to pull out of our sessions for a variety of reasons. If this occurs, we will work with you to set up either a refund (via your original form of payment) or a Soccer Shots credit that can be utilized toward a future season of Soccer Shots.
Refunds are pro-rated and are based on the number of weeks that have already passed for the given season, In the event of a refund, a $15 processing fee is deducted from your refund total for each child withdrawn. Refunds cannot be given after week three of our Soccer Shots season.
Credits are also pro-rated and are based on the number of weeks that have already passed for the given season. No processing fee is charged for a credit. Credits can be given at any point throughout the season.
Will my child get a Soccer Shots jersey?
If you enroll your child in Soccer Shots to participate in anywhere from one to multiple seasons of Soccer Shots throughout a school year, your child will receive a youth jersey. Youth jerseys are distributed one time per school year and are included in the cost of enrollment, regardless of the number of seasons you sign your child up for within that school year.
Jerseys are distributed via mail and addressed to the child. You will receive tracking information once the jersey has shipped to your address.
Please understand that if you enroll within two weeks of the season start date, your child is not guaranteed to receive their jersey before the first session.
Should you have any questions about your child’s youth jersey shipment, or if you would like to exchange sizes, please contact [email protected].
Please note, some Soccer Shots programs do not include jerseys, such as birthday parties, demos, free play days, and school-paid sessions.
