Integrator - Austin and San Antonio
Laura’s love of soccer ignited in Virginia during middle and high school. She captained her school teams five of six years while playing forward or outside defender before settling in at center midfielder. She continued on to play intramural in college and still plays weekly in the Austin Women’s Soccer League.
Called to impact youth, Coach Laura earned degrees from the University of Virginia and North Carolina Central University. She then taught kindergarten through fifth grades in North Carolina and Texas. She also brings experience as a curriculum developer and educational consultant. She began coaching soccer and swimming during college and has coached Austin youth for over ten years. She enjoys anntoring fellow coaches and thrives through the smiles shared with children as they build confidence, friendships and fun!
Jeremy joins our Soccer Shots Austin team with over 25 years in soccer experience and transitioning from a 20+ year career in restaurant management. His soccer career started from humble beginnings at his YMCA in Midland, TX, and then progressing to his high school team and later Midland College. Jeremy played as a keeper and full-back until a knee injury took him from the field and to the office. Now, he enjoys disc golfing, snowboarding, and cycling to stay active and outside. He loves living in Austin, with its laid-back vibe, vibrant music scene, and appreciation and stewardship of the environment.
Fun Fact: Jeremy is also an avid “maker” and was previously in the craft show and Etsy scene!
Senior Program Coordinator
Kait brings to our team years of childcare experience, humor, and enthusiasm! She grew up playing a variety of sports including soccer, softball, and running track. Originally from Abilene, TX, Kait has nannied for several families, coached little kiddos, and enjoys positively impacting everyone around her! In addition to her passion for teaching children, she also loves music, film, and food!
Fun Fact: Coach Kait loves to laugh and is an aspiring drummer!
Coach Arianne has over 20 years of soccer experience! Hailing from the DFW area, she started playing select for FC Dallas, then on an intramural team at UT, and in Paris, France for the SciencesPo women’s team when she studied abroad. Her favorite position is forward because she loves the challenge of scoring GOALS! Arianne also loves reading, tennis, paddle boarding, and volunteering. She has lots of experience with children, working formerly as a camp counselor, childcare supervisor, and AmeriCorps literacy tutor for AISD. Her favorite part about working with kids is their unfailing ability to find fun and joy in anything.
Fun Fact: Coach Arianne checked off an item on her bucket list in 2015 by attending a European soccer match between PSG and St. Etienne and seeing Zlatan Ibrahimovic in action. So intense!!
Serafina grew up playing soccer in Dallas, TX. She played left wing throughout high school and intramurally at Texas State University where she studied Exercise & Sport Science. Her teaching experience comes from coaching Middle School Athletics and Elementary Physical Education. She has always had a passion for soccer and shares that her favorite parts about coaching are providing a fun learning environment and being a positive influence.
Fun Facts: Coach Sera has been attending Dallas Burn/FC Dallas matches since she was a child. She has also become a huge Austin FC supporter because of their growing impact on the community and strong focus on youth development!
Coach Noel is a born explorer: Originally from Mexico, he later lived in Connecticut through his adolescence, traveled the world when he turned 18, settled in the U.S. Virgin Islands for several years after, and now finds himself in our weird city. He started playing soccer at just 2 years old, introduced to the sport by his father who played professionally in Mexico. He later played for his high school team in Connecticut, later transitioning to lacrosse which he pursued professionally. Coach Noel also has worked with children for more than 12 years. He loves seeing their cognitive development as they learn new skills and overcome challenges. We’re so excited to have him on the Austin team!
Fun Facts: Coach Noel has traveled to more than 32 countries and plays lacrosse professionally for the U.S. Virgin Islands!
Coach Kristine ("Coach K")
Kristine comes to Austin from Connecticut, living there her whole life until she decided that she was ready for a change! We’re lucky that she chose Austin because she brings years of early childhood and soccer experience with her (plus, she’s a ton of fun!). She started playing soccer when she was 11 years old as a midfielder, playing with different rec teams. Now, she loves playing pick-up with friends and also adds hiking, swimming, and paddleboarding, to her ways to staying active and healthy.
Kristine also served as a teacher’s aid for preschoolers, volunteered as a young women’s mentor, and babysat for 10 years. Her favorite part about working with kids is watching them grow and develop so quickly and listening to their crazy stories! She is also a proficient Spanish-speaker and loves Austin’s music scene and sense of community.
Fun Fact: Kristine has two rescues: a puppy named Charlie and a cat named Simone (they’re the best of friends)!
Hailing from Abilene, TX, Coach Meg comes to Austin with a long history of soccer and hiking! Beginning when she was just 4 years old, Coach Meg has experience playing all of the soccer positions but is a pro at playing sweeper and midfield. She also loves to hike (one of the main reasons she loves Austin) and is training to climb 14ers this summer! Whoa! Coach Meg loves working with children and sharing the game with them and can’t wait to get out on the field.
Fun Fact: Coach Meg speaks French and studied in France for a semester! On y va, Coach!
Native Austinite Coach Abby started playing soccer here in her hometown at just 5 years old! She’s able to step into any position she’s needed but favors right wing or center-mid. In addition to soccer, she is an avid runner and used to run cross country through her high school. She loves Austin’s food and uniqueness. Coach Abby also babysits and has coached for a year. Her favorite part about working with kids is their humor – she loves their jokes and making them laugh!
Fun Facts: Coach Abby has held a shark (!) and loves live music.
Coach Alex is native Austinite who started his soccer journey here in the city playing varsity for his local high school. He now plays pick-up from time to time and loves to run to stay active. Like many locals, he spends plenty of time outdoors and is all about the Austin music scene. Coach Alex loves to teach his favorite sport to kids and sharing the game with others.
Fun Facts: Coach Alex is colorblind and makes beats for fun!
Coach Amie is a native San Antonian who is new to the Texas capital. She comes to us with years of soccer experience, starting young through her local rec league, progressing through club, and playing competitively for her high school. In addition to soccer, Coach Amie enjoys spending time at our local parks playing frisbee, spikeball, and running. She previously worked one-one-one with kids as they started virtual schooling and babysitting. As someone from a huge family, she has been around children her entire life and really enjoys how fun and pure they are! As a coach, she hopes to make a big impact on each child and parent she interacts with and hopes that they remember her and the work she’s done.
Fun Facts: Coach Amie prides herself in being a problem-solver and her favorite color is yellow!
Originally from Las Vegas, Coach Alyson has been playing soccer since she was just 5 years old! She enjoyed playing fullback because she liked preventing the other team from scoring more than she enjoyed scoring herself. She continues to play soccer recreationally for fitness and also enjoys hiking, running, swimming, and playing tennis. Coach Alyson has many years working with children, both as a nanny and as a montessori preschool teacher. She especially enjoys seeing how innately energetic and curious they can be while learning!
Fun Fact: Coach Alyson used to work at a museum and once accidentally got locked in a cage with a bunch of dinosaur bones!

Coach C is one of our resident San Marcos/South Austin coaches who is originally from Pasadena, TX! While she doesn’t have much soccer experience, she is still a big sports enthusiast, with volleyball, tennis, and swimming being her favorites. Coach C also served as a youth softball team for 3 years and loves how much energy and fun kids bring to everything! We’re so excited to have her join our team!
Fun Fact: Coach C is super tough: she once broke her nose and put it back in place! Ouch!!
An avid traveler, Coach Dominique grew up in Toledo, OH, went to school in New York, and is now pursuing her PhD here in Austin! Dominique started playing soccer in Kindergarten and continues to play recreationally as a center forward. She has lots of childcare experience, currently working as a teacher for children ages 18mo-6 yrs, and previously as a camp counselor. In addition to soccer, she also loves to play basketball and volleyball.
Fun Facts: She speaks fluent Spanish!
Coach Jake is an outdoor enthusiast originally from Midland, TX but loving the greenery here in the city. He’s been playing soccer for a total of 19 years (!), beginning back in his hometown as a midfielder and defender on his varsity high school team and local club team. Now, here in the Austin, he still likes to play with a rec league. Coach Jake previously coached children through his club team, loving to see how engaged kids become in different activities and how they can find fun in anything. He hopes to bring the fun and love of soccer to the kids he coaches!
Fun Facts: Coach Jake can play the trombone and spends the rest of his free time kayaking and hiking. See if you can spot him out on Lady Bird Lake!
Coach Jeff grew up in the great mid-west aka Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. Early on he developed a love for soccer and the great outdoors. He enjoys rock climbing, bicycling, sailing, roller skating and when he needs to relax…a bit of yoga. Coach Jeff shares that he loves working with children and has a great time coming up with unique ways to capture and maintain their attention.
Coach Jeremy has first hand experience as a Soccer Shots parent as his son has been enrolled in Soccer Shots for many seasons! Coach Jeremy grew up playing soccer in San Antonio and Houston, playing from the age of five through his high school years. He played as a goalie for all of those years! Coach Jeremy has lived in Austin for more than ten years now and loves the abundance of family activities available in Austin.
Fun Facts: Coach Jeremy can say the alphabet backwards in less than 5 seconds and came in first place in a turkey calling contest!
Coach Joe comes to us from California having played soccer since he was 8 years old! He’s really excited to start coaching and bring the excitement and love of the game to our Central Texas families. While Coach Joe played competitively throughout middle and high school, he now just likes to play for fun. His favorite positions are right and left wing and supports FC Barcelona!
Fun Fact: Coach Joe loves to go backpacking through the backcountry!
Coach Kyle was born and raised in Austin, TX and has been immersed in soccer for years as a player, coach, and referee! He started playing when he was just 4 years old and continued on to coaching a U-10 soccer team, and then also added referee to his resume–a position he’s held for the past 27 years! Coach Kyle truly enjoys teaching children and helping them to better their skills to be the best they can be!
Fun Facts: Coach Kyle was also a fire fighter and professional Santa Claus!
Originally from Indiana, Coach Mack brings a TON of positivity and experience to our Austin team! She has currently been working as a preschool teacher for the past 3 years and truly loves making an impact on young lives. One of her favorite parts about working with children is their willingness to learn – she is continually inspired to see the world through fresh eyes.
Coach Mack also began her soccer career at just 3 years old playing through her school district, and later progressing to IM play in college. In her spare time, Coach Mack is also a certified yoga teacher and stays active by practicing aerial fitness.
Fun Facts: Coach Mack’s first dog was named Deeogee (D-O-G) and she makes it a goal to dance every day!
Originally from San Antonio, Coach Maddie joins the Soccer Shots team ready to make an impact! She grew up playing the beautiful game with her cousins during family reunions, playing any position where she was needed. She loves walking her dog around the Austin neighborhoods, exploring the city with her friends, and comic books! Coach Maddie’s favorite part about working with children is seeing their excitement when they learn a new skill and can’t wait to experience that as a coach.
Having grown up in Ecuador, Uruguay and Peru, Coach Maia has lived in some amazing places! During her travels throughout South America, Maia began her coaching career with a varsity girls soccer team at a private school in Indonesia. Now with 2 years of coaching and 10 years of childhood experience under her belt, Coach Maia is psyched to be out on Soccer Island with her soccer friends. Maia loves the contagious enthusiasm children bring to each and every session. Having recently moved to Austin, Coach Maia loves the diversity and of course the yummy food!
Fun Facts: Coach Maia once found herself face to face with a spider that was the same size as her face! Yikes! She’s also fluent in Spanish and one of our go-to bilingual coaches.

Coach Mak grew up just outside of Austin, in Bastrop, but spent enough time here during her childhood to consider herself an Austinite. She’s always liked her hometown but also has a ton of love for Austin and its culture. She has been playing soccer all of her life and continues to play pick-up down at Zilker (19 years and counting!). Coach Mak has played every field position but especially enjoys center-mid. She loves working with kids and served as first a volunteer club soccer coach and kids soccer coach while living in San Antonio. She’s hoping to leave a positive impact on every child she works with and that they have the best possible soccer experience.
Fun Fact: While in high school, Coach Mak and her team won the 6A State Soccer Championship – whoa!!
Coach Meredith grew up in DFW but has since lived in every major Texas city except El Paso. She started playing soccer on a co-ed team at the age of 4, played throughout high school and continues to play recreational soccer today. In addition to soccer, Coach Meredith enjoys the great artistic and creative culture of Austin and of course – tacos. She shares that her favorite part of about coaching is seeing how enthusiastic and excited kids get when they learn a new skill and develop confidence in themselves.
Fun Facts: Coach Meredith spent the summer in Kenya hanging out with giraffes and elephants (and of course watching the World Cup). She shares that she can also count to 100 in Mandarin.
Coach Mika grew up in San Antonio, Texas, moving to Austin to attend the University of Texas. Her favorite thing about Austin is all the great food trucks. Coach Mika played as a goalie during school, but currently she enjoys skiing, dancing and swimming. Coach Mika loves to see how excited kids get when they see improvement! Coach Mika is currently in the theatre program at UT and loves to get into all the characters we play during Soccer Shots!
Fun fact: Coach Mika’s favorite animal is a giraffe and she plays the violin!
Coach Nino’s passion for soccer began over 30 years ago when he first began playing! He played as a young boy, played throughout high school and college and currently plays on an adult league as a midfielder and forward and as many pickup games as he can squeeze into his busy life as a dad and coach. Coach Nino grew up in a military family so he has lived all over. His favorite part of Austin is the weirdness! He speaks moderate Spanish and loves inspiring youngsters.
Fun fact: Coach Nino loves to rock out on the guitar!
Originally from La Porte, TX, Coach Peyton joins our squad full of soccer and coaching experience! Beginning at the age of 3, she played for 10 years with the Challenge Soccer Club as a goalkeeper and continued on her varsity team all 4 years. She’s served as a volunteer for the past 5 years as a coaching youth instructor for soccer camps in her hometown and earned a coaching minor from Texas State where she’s also currently studying for her nursing degree. Coach Peyton loves to watch children grow and progress in a skill and to see how willing they are to learn. When she’s not playing soccer, she loves exploring Austin and checking out the scenery and hiking trails.
Fun Fact: Coach Peyton has 4 pet glowfish!
Coach Rachelle is a native Austinite who was originally born in Australia! While she didn’t play soccer competitively, she loved growing up playing recreationally with her family. In addition to being a Soccer Shots coach, Rachelle also spends time with children as a nanny. As someone from a large extended family, she enjoys all the fun kids bring. Her favorite part about Austin is the varying environments the city provides.
Fun Facts: She’s been playing kickball for 10 years and is fluent in Arabic!
Coach Winston comes to Austin from San Antonio (former military brat) with a teaching and coaching background. He started his soccer career at just 4 years of age and continued to play until college. He served as a goalkeeper while in college and also lent his skills to coaching high school soccer. Coach Winston has worked with a wide range of students in his lifetime, ranging rom 4 to 18 years old, and is excited to get to work with our 2-8 year old age group. He loves how there’s always something to do in Austin, and can’t wait for shows and events to open start back up!
