Eric Njenga

Eric Njenga

Coach

Coach Eric was born in Kenya, Nairobi. He moved to America when he was just 6 years old and grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a civil engineering degree at Shippensburg University. Soccer was coach Eric’s first sport and he played it all through high school. Coach Eric is excited to help and to grow with your children while they develop their soccer skills, character, and values.

Tom Birch

Head Coach

Coach Tom grew up in Cumberland County playing soccer for as long as he can remember.  Tom played collegiate soccer and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing at Central Penn College. Tom holds a Director of Coaching License from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) while also working as the Director of Boys Soccer at a local youth soccer club in Mechanicsburg.  He has coached soccer from the youth level all the way through the collegiate level.  Above all, Tom loves being able to positively impact kids through the game of soccer!

Rafael Santiago

Coach Rafael grew up in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines and now lives in Martinsburg, West Virginia. He is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College. Coach Rafael started playing soccer when he was 10 years old, he played as a defender in his high school varsity team, and until this day he still plays soccer in his free time. Coach Rafael is excited to work for Soccer Shots as he looks forward to teaching children and helping them grow, learn skills, enjoy and love the game of soccer.

Amanda Kratochvil

Coach Amanda grew up in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Shippensburg University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in both Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. After obtaining her English as a Second Language Program Specialist certificate, she worked for the Chambersburg Area School District as an ESL Teacher for 4 years. During that time, she completed her Master’s Degree in Classroom Technology. For the last five years, she has been teaching English online to children in China. Amanda played soccer for a few years when she was a kid and has always had a love for the game. Her son has been taking classes with Soccer Shots for the last 3 years. Coach Amanda looks forward to working with you and your child to build positive relationships while growing and developing soccer skills!

Ashley Demmel

Ashley Demmel

Coach Ashley is a Senior at Shippensburg University. She is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Early childhood Education: PreK-4 and Special Education: PreK-12. Coach Ashley grew up in Hershey and started playing soccer when she was 5. She played soccer all the way through high school. Even though she doesn’t play anymore she is excited to share her love of soccer with your child. She is welcoming, kind-hearted, and patient. Coach Ashley looks forward to helping your child grow both on and off the field!

Leah Bennett

Leah Bennett

Coach Leah has a Master’s degree in elementary education and was a classroom teacher for 15 years before taking some time off to be home in Hagerstown, MD with her own two girls. She has always enjoyed soccer and enjoys helping children learn a new sport and build healthy, active habits early in life. She is excited to get back to working with children (other than her own!) in the fun and fast paced environment of Soccer Shots!
