Sabryna

Sabryna

Coach

Sabryna loves being outside and coaching. She will be attending SFU after graduating high school and will be playing on the SFU Women’s Soccer team. Sabryna has been playing soccer since she was 6 and has loved it ever since. At Soccer Shots, she is excited to coach, and help young children build character and find their passion within soccer. From experience herself, she finds that starting a sport young builds team work skills, and it is a way to be active while trying something new. Sabryna also enjoys creating a safe and fun environment for new soccer players.

Nicole

Coach

Nicole has loved playing soccer since the age of 6 and is a huge fan of the outdoors and hiking. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Communications and aspires to be a teacher in the future. She enjoys connecting with young children and strongly believes in Soccer Shots’ curriculum that focuses on character development and having fun! Nicole loves that Soccer Shots inspires a love for soccer and exercise through a warm and welcoming environment.

Karn

Coach

Karn is a 5th year physiology student at Simon Fraser University with aspirations of becoming a health professional in the near future. As a result of playing soccer throughout secondary school, Karn has grown to value extracurricular sport participation especially because of its role in character development at a young age. Personally through playing soccer, Karn has learned the importance of cooperation, perseverance, and determination. As a result of this, she is inspired to focus on helping children develop the mental, emotional, and behavioural attributes that drive performance in their daily lives. Not to forget, while doing this she is determined to create a fun and enjoyable environment for everyone to learn and participate.

Tyler

Coach

Tyler is currently attending the University of British Columbia; studying kinesiology and looking forward to being an occupational therapist in the near future. Tyler is not only fluent in English, but fluent in sign language! Tyler spends a lot of time curling, running, and doing outdoor activities. Tylers favourite thing about Soccer Shots is working with our little soccer stars and knowing that he can influence their passion for the game and putting a smile on their face.

Alessia

Alessia graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in Communications and currently works in the field of Human Resources. Soccer is Alessia’s favourite sport and she has been playing since she was 4. She believes that soccer is a great way to have fun, stay active and build character. The Soccer Shots curriculum is a great way to introduce a child to soccer while teaching them lessons they can use on and off the field.

Breann

Coach

Breann is currently a student at Douglas College, and is studying philosophy. Breann has been playing soccer for as long as she can remember! Breann grew up playing the sport and is looking forward to passing her love of the sport to another generation. Breann loves Soccer Shots because it fosters an environment of fun and energy! Breann is also very excited to create a place where kids can grow a love for the sport through fun, games and respect.

Amanda

Amanda

Amanda loves to be active; she has participated in track and field and has been playing soccer since she was 9 years old. Amanda currently plays Women’s Premier League and has most recently committed to play on the SFU women’s soccer team. At SFU, Amanda plans to study sciences. Being a coach at Soccer Shots, Amanda has had the chance to encourage young kids to get outside and be active. Amanda truly enjoys Soccer Shots as she believes it teaches young and enthusiastic children the skills of soccer through fun activities that also emphasize character development.

Brittney

Having previously worked with the Soccer Shots Fraser Valley franchise, Brittney joins Soccer Shots Metro Vancouver with immense experience and passion for our program. A recent graduate of the University of Fraser Valley’s soccer team, Brittney loves the sport of soccer. Brittney spends much of her time dedicated to coaching youth soccer as she believes children sport is essential to child development. Brittney loves Soccer Shots as it provides further opportunity to communities she played and grew up in to learn and love the sport of soccer.

Shayla

Shayla

Coach

Shayla is currently a student at Douglas College. She is completing a Bachelor’s of Physical Education and Coaching with a minor in Criminology. Her goal is to become a high school physical education and social studies teacher. Shayla began playing soccer when she was 4, and continues to play on a women’s soccer team. Shayla enjoys teaching the Soccer Shots curriculum as it creates a positive learning environment and makes learning new skills fun.

Valerie

Coach

Valerie is currently enrolled in the Education Program at Simon Fraser University and hopes to be an elementary school teacher. She is also in her 3rd year on the SFU Women’s Soccer team! Valerie has been playing soccer since she was five years old and now hopes to inspire young children to play soccer. Valerie loves coaching soccer at Soccer shots because it has a great curriculum that is fun and engaging while also building new concepts and skills!

Jason

Coach

Jason is currently attending Douglas College. He is studying Computer Science and looking forward to becoming an IT specialist in the near future. Jason enjoys playing sports such as soccer, ultimate and volleyball. Jason loves the Soccer Shots program because it gives him the chance to help the young children find their passion in soccer. Jason looks forward to using the curriculum to help our young soccer stars gain confidence and build character.

Ashley

Ashley

Coach

Ashley is currently attending Simon Fraser University, and is working towards degrees in both history and criminology. She developed a love for soccer from a very young age, and eventually began to play and compete at a select level. In doing so she learned that soccer was a great way to learn teamwork, determination, respect for others and confidence in herself. Ashley strongly believes in the curriculum of soccer shots, as it not only helps develop character, and soccer skills but it prioritizes fun and love for the sport above all else. She hopes to create a fun and exciting environment for the children to learn and participate in the game.

Jade

Coach

Jade thinks that the best way to maintain a healthy body and mind is through exercise, and she also thinks that there has never been a better time to start than right now! Jade has tried many different sports throughout her life and soccer is one that she has truly enjoyed. Jade studies math at UBC but makes staying active one of her priorities. She loves working with kids of all ages, especially when she gets to play with them! Soccer Shots is the most fun job Jade could imagine. She thinks the focus on enjoyment helps kids forge a positive relationship with exercise that will last them a lifetime.

Brittany is currently attending the University of Fraser Valley studying kinesiology, hoping to become a physiotherapist one day. She has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old and currently plays for the University of Fraser Valley women’s team. Brittany enjoys being a coach at soccer shots because she loves the fact that she gets to impact children’s lives by not only teaching them her favourite sport, but also developing character.

Anita

Anita is a recent graduate from Briercrest College with a Bachelor of Arts, minoring in Kinesiology. As a kid she bounced around from sport to sport but really developed a love for soccer in her early teens. For Anita, sport has been instrumental in providing community, generating determination, and fostering an active and healthy lifestyle. She truly believes in the central role soccer can play in developing a child socially and physically and is excited to introduce young kids to her favorite sport through Soccer Shots!

Isaac

Isaac is a 4th-year psychology student at Simon Fraser University who aspires to become a Behavioural Consultant specializing in childcare for children with Autism. In addition to playing soccer and basketball all throughout middle school and high school, Isaac has been involved in childcare at a young age, which includes camp counseling, assisting at daycare, as well as coaching young children in both sports. Throughout the years, Isaac has developed a love and passion for children and desires to put a smile on the faces of every child under his care. Above all else, he is so excited to provide a fun and engaging environment for the kids at the Soccer Shots Program.

Coach

Corrine is a certified health care assistant and hopes to become a nurse in the near future. She has been playing soccer since she was 5 and currently plays with North Delta FC. Corrine loves coaching with soccer shots because it gives her the opportunity to share her favourite sport with the community.
