Coach Allie is from Sacramento, California and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because they wanted to get back into playing soccer in a fun and inclusive environment all while helping others find the fun in the sport! Outside of work Coach Allie likes to play video games, hang out with friends, and work on getting better at new potential hobbies! Coach Allies is currently learning how to detail cars and trying to get into reading again!
Coach Amy is from Portland, Oregon and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because they wanted to continue teaching preschool/school aged children outside of a classroom setting. As our Coaching Coordinator, they enjoy the balance of administrative work and fun! Outside of work, Coach Amy likes to cook, binge watch shows, and enjoys anything outside with their dog, Emerald!
Coach Ash is from Toa Baja, Puerto Rico and wanted to begin working for Soccer Shots because it aligned with their passion of working with children which came from their experience working at different camps in Puerto Rico and Wisconsin. From being a camper, to becoming a counselor, all the way to program coordinator, they loved the opportunity of working with children to help them grow. Outside of work Coach Ash likes gaming, snowboarding, spending time with their dog, Leo, and most recently started climbing!
Coach Brendan is from Allentown, New Jersey and wanted to begin coaching at Soccer Shots because they wanted a job that would keep them close to the game! Outside of work they love to play soccer and go to the movies.
Coach Jay is from Gainesville, Florida and wanted to begin coaching at Soccer Shots because they wanted to be able to positively influence kids in the same way soccer coaches did for them when they were young. Outside of work Coach Jay loves to take walks with their dog through their neighborhood with their friends and their dogs friends!
Coach Braydon is from Beaverton, Oregon and had a stint in Eugene for school, but the beautiful sunny weather in Portland just kept them coming back. Coach Braydon wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because the greatest mentor at any stage in their life was often a coach. They want to return that level of compassion, guidance and attention to the next generation so that the cycle of guidance may continue. They specifically like coaching for Soccer Shots because they feel an encouragement to be themself while coaching, which in turn allows them to encourage kiddos to be themselves on and off Soccer Island! Outside of work Coach Braydon likes to stay busy through writing, whether personal or for publication, and likes to get out with their friends to play soccer. They are also trying to pick up guitar, which they’ve found the picking up the guitar part is easy, but no one told them the learning how to play it part is actually difficult.
Coach Ceara is from Portland, Oregon and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because she wanted to be a part of an inclusive and supportive community that cares about what they do! Outside of work, Coach Ceara likes to spend time outdoors with family.
Coach Chris is from Portland, Oregon and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots to positively impact as many lives at an early age as possible through physical fitness! He has been at it for a while, but still has the same mindset. Outside of work, Coach Chris likes grabbing coffee and vibing.
CaSaundra is from Oregon and wanted to begin working at Soccer Shots because they love to help make a child’s first sport experience fun and engaging. Outside of work, CaSaundra enjoys spending time with their family, traveling and disc golf!
Coach Joel is from Columbus, Ohio and started Soccer Shots because he wanted to make a positive impact on young lives during a critical window in their development. He also wanted a job that would keep him active and get him outdoors. It’s grown and delivered far beyond his expectations! Outside of work, Joel loves spending time with his children, hiking, cooking, and eating!
Coach JJ is from Kansas City, KS and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because I love soccer and teaching and Soccer Shots is the perfect chance to teach, help children grow and stay involved with my passion. Outside of work, Coach JJ likes to take his dog, Charlie, for hikes and long walks all over Portland and beyond.
Coach Michael is originally from Southern California, but has lived all across the U.S. and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because they wanted to share their love of soccer. They also love working with kids from different backgrounds and helping them learn new skills while having fun with the game. They believe Soccer Shots is an awesome culture that’s engaging for both kids and coaches. Outside of work, Coach Michael loves to read, write, dive into new art projects, and spend time in nature. They are also a diehard supporter of the Portland Thorns.
Coach Mitchell is from Portland, Oregon and wanted to begin working at Soccer Shots because he wanted to help give back to the soccer community that had helped shape the person he is today. Outside of work, Coach Mitchell loves cooking, spending time with his family, being outdoors, playing soccer, and hanging out with his friends.
Coach M is from Aurora, Oregon and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because he saw an opportunity, and had heard from a friend it was an enjoyable job. He gave it a chance and realized how much he enjoyed it! Outside of work, Coach M likes to play tennis, read, listen to music and learn about cars.
Coach Caitlin is from Portland, Oregon! Outside of work Coach Caitlin loves to play soccer, basketball, run track, read, hang out with friends!
Coach Bailey is from Seattle, Washington and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because they’ve always loved playing, coaching, and watching soccer their whole life and they really appreciate how intentional the program and curriculum is here. Coach Bailey is a firm believer that all kids should have the opportunity and access to have a fun and memorable experience learning how to play a sport! Outside of work, Coach Bailey loves playing video games, cooking, listening to music and reading.
Coach Edwin is from Canby, Oregon and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because he found it as an opportunity to show kids how amazing soccer is. Outside of work, Coach Edwin likes to work on his car and help out friends with mechanical issues.
Coach Sarah is from Vancouver, Washington. They started coaching for Soccer Shots because it looked like fun! They started playing soccer when they were six, and remember how great of an outlet it was for them. They are looking forward to being “a part of a young persons development of soccer skills, character building, teamwork and having fun.”
Coach Nels is from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He wanted to work for Soccer Shots because he loves soccer and wants to help grow the love of the game for the kids! Outside of work, Nels likes to hike, play with his cats, and play soccer of course!
Coach Otniel is from Oregon! He wanted to work for Soccer Shots because he loves being around children and is a huge soccer. "I love seeing the children grow and learn new things. In addition, I love to see their little similes as they run around Soccer Island." buff.
Coach Brooke is from Danville, California. I wanted to combine my love of soccer with my passion for mentoring. "I love being able to build relationships with the kids and seeing them grow throughout the season. " Outside of work, Brooke loves to lay with her dog, explore Portland with friends, roller skate, and travel.
Coach Terra is from Arcata, California! He wanted to work for Soccer Shots because she loves how we put the FUN in FUNdamentals! Building a love for the game while teaching skills is so important ! Outside of work, Terra loves to hike, run, try new recipes, surf, swim, paddle board, really anything that involves being outside.
Coach Daniel is from Milwaukie, Oregon! He wanted to work for Soccer Shots because he loves soccer and children, and figured why not combine the two! Outside of work, Daniel likes to work on cars, photography and play video games.
Coach Sofia is from Portland, Oregon and wanted to begin coaching with Soccer Shots because she had coached soccer for kids in the past and had really enjoyed it. Sofia wanted to combine my love of the sport and the fun of teaching and seeing the kids thrive. Outside of work, Coach Sofia likes hiking, kayaking, drawing and learning and practicing her language skills in Spanish and Portuguese.
