Originally from Baytown, Texas, Coach Mckhenzie grew her love for the game with the Challenge Soccer Club before taking her skills and studies to the University of Houston. While there, she fostered her love for soccer, both as a midfielder for the UH Women’s Soccer team, and as a volunteer coach for local youth clubs. Shortly after college, Coach Mckhenzie joined Soccer Shots Houston as a coach and Program Director, combining her passion for working with children and her love of the game. Coach Mckhenzie has since relocated to the DFW area, and is excited to continue to bring the same culture and passion to the All-Stars in Dallas and surrounding areas! In her spare time, Coach Mckhenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, discovering the city’s best cheeseburgers, and finding new fishing spots!
All the way from Long Beach, California, Coach Daria is still relatively new to the DFW area and is excited about helping impact the All-Stars in the area! Her personal soccer career started at the age of seven and her dedication and hard work eventually earned her a spot on the San Jose State women’s soccer team. She later transferred to the University of North Texas and earned her B.S. in Kinesiology! In her free time, she can be found going out with her friends and family to try new restaurants around DFW or watching and supporting just about any California sports teams!
Coach Zach is from Little Rock, Arkansas but now calls Texas home. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Zach finds joy in serving kiddos and families in the DFW area. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and trout fishing!
Originally from Norway, Michigan, Coach Dane graduated from Northern Michigan University with his Bachelors of Science and spent time on the men’s soccer roster before finding his way to the Dallas area. He has coached for various club soccer programs back home in Michigan, and is now excited to be a part of preparing the next generation of future soccer players in DFW! Coach Dane’s favorite team to cheer on is Manchester United, and he hopes to one day to travel to England to cheer them on in person. Ask Coach Dane’s about his super secret hidden talent – playing the piano!
Coach Russ, also known as Coach Brandon is originally from McKinney, Texas. He attended Princeton HS where he played soccer all 4 years and later then went to play collegiate soccer at Paul Quinn College. Coach Russ join Soccer Shots DFW as he believes in our vision to make Soccer Shots Day, every child’s favorite day! Outside of Soccer Island, he enjoys playing video games, art, and comics. One day in the future, he even plans to have his own clothing brand!
Coach Edgar is from Dallas, Texas and joins Soccer Shots DFW because of the challenge and wanting to see the kiddos grow skills wise and as people. Coach Edgar has played soccer ever since a young age and one day hopes to start a soccer business of some kind or become a coach at the higher level. Outside of soccer island, Coach Edgar enjoys playing all sports, video games, and drawing. One thing on his bucket list: sky diving!
Coach Demian is originally from Dallas, TX and join Soccer Shots DFW to help teach the kiddos the sport he loves so much. He has played soccer all his life and hopes to one day be able to become a certified professional coach. Outside of Soccer Island, Coach Demian enjoys going to the gym, writing, and cooking. One fun fact about Coach Demian is that he is bilingual and fluent in Spanish!
Joining Soccer Shots from Longview, Texas, Coach Yazmin’s soccer career started at the age of 5 years old and her love for the game took her to play 4 years in college at Lyon College. There, she received her bachelors degree in Psychology and is now currently going to grad school at UNT at Dallas to get her master’s degree in counseling! Coach Yazmin enjoys running in her free time and her favorite snack to eat is popcorn! She also hopes to one day be able mark traveling to France off her bucket list!
Coach Marissa is from Forney, Texas and currently attends the University of North Texas studying Environmental Science. She joins Soccer Shots DFW as she loves playing soccer and wants to share her passion and love for the game to the new generation. Outside of Soccer Island, Coach Marissa likes to read and is also on the UNT Women’s Soccer Club! She is fluent in Spanish and her favorite soccer team is FC Barcelona.
Coach Luis is originally from San Jose, California and joins Soccer Shots DFW to share the love and passion he has for soccer to the kiddos. He attended Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts and is passionate about focusing on his coaching career. Outside of Soccer Island, he enjoys running and going to the gym. One thing on his bucket list? Travel to Japan!
Coach JK is originally from North Richland Hills, Texas and attended Richland HS. He joins Soccer Shots DFW so children can enjoy the game of soccer and understand it in a fun way! Coach JK has played soccer since middle school at the club level. He currently attends Tarrant County College where he then hopes to transfer to UTA and major in sports journalism. Outside of Soccer Island, he enjoys posting on his blog, playing video games, and hanging out with family and friends. His favorite soccer team is Manchester United and one day hopes to go to England to watch them play live!
Coach Angel joins Soccer Shots DFW as coaching is always something he has wanted to do. He is very passionate about being the best coach to the younger children and positively impacting their lives. He has played soccer since the age of nine and FC Barcelona is his favorite soccer team. He currently attends Tarrant County College and is planning on getting his associates in finance. He is fluent in Spanish and loves music!
Coach Kiebron also known as Coach K is originally from Eritrea, Africa and graduated from Allen High School. He is very competitive, caring, and a great listener. Coach K chose Soccer Shots DFW because soccer is his passion and he wanted to teach things outside of soccer that kids could use off the field. He loves playing sports and hanging out with friends. One thing on his bucket list is he would love to travel the world!
Coach Danny is From Maryland and graduated from Heritage High School. He loves soccer, family time, and hiking. He enjoys watching FC Barcelona games with his favorite snacks Doritos and fruit snacks. He chose Soccer Shots DFW to teach kids the fun and exciting ways of soccer and for them to become their best self. Coach Danny played soccer professionally in Spain for 3 years. He is also a middle child and has a French Bulldog named Bunny.
Coach Janie has been with Soccer Shots for 6 years and every single season always brings her joy. She loves seeing the kids have fun and get the “Ah Ha!” face as they perfect a skill! She is originally from Farmer’s Branch and attended Lamar University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies. Outside of Soccer Island, she loves being crafty with her circuit. One thing on her bucket list: Drive on Route 66!
Coach Leah is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. She got her Bachelor of Arts in Film Productions and Mass Communications. Coach Leah is passionate about soccer as she played semi-pro and D2 College Soccer. She chose Soccer Shots DFW because she has coached various ages from 4-18 and wants them to be able to have the possible opportunity to use soccer as a way to pay and continue pursuing their education. Her hidden talents are cooking curries and creative writing.
Coach Cody is from Iowa, and he graduated from Mason Northwest Webster HS. He is very energetic, respectful, and honorable. His hobbies are working out and going for runs with his dog. He hopes to one day travel and visit Greece. He chose Soccer Shots DFW because he wants to be a humble, respectful leader to the kids while showing them great improvement in soccer. Coach Cody favorite snacks are his protein bars and snickers.
Coach Mawi, originally from Ethiopia, holds a bachelor’s degree and supports Argentina's national soccer team. He is outgoing, charismatic, and energetic, with interests in going to the gym and watching sports. Passionate about soccer and youth coaching, he joined Soccer Shots DFW. He speaks three languages and can snowboard. He loves his cool ranch Doritos and Skittles.
Coach Edwin, also known as Coach Santi, is from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and graduated from Plano West Senior High School. He is energetic, positive, and athletic, with a passion for soccer and going to the gym. He joined Soccer Shots DFW to share his skills and help others grow. He plans to pursue a career in the medical field. He also enjoys eating at C Roll Sushi and Whataburger.
Coach Isaac, from Dallas, holds a bachelor's degree in business administration. He grew up playing soccer, including time with the FC Dallas Academy and Lone Star High School. His hobbies include soccer, video games, and spending time with friends. He joined Soccer Shots to pursue his passion for soccer and supporting children. He enjoys watching Chelsea games with his favorite foods, Whataburger and Takis. His hidden talent is that he can whistle with his hands.
Coach Jared, originally from Denver, Colorado, holds a Doctorate in Chiropractic. He played college-level soccer and developed a lifelong love for the game. He joined Soccer Shots DFW to give back to the sport that shaped his life. His hobbies include trying new restaurants and watching sports, and he hopes to attend a World Cup. His favorite soccer teams are AC Milan and Barcelona.
Coach Logan, from Amarillo, Texas, is motivated, social, and energetic. He grew up playing soccer and has a strong passion for the sport. He joined Soccer Shots DFW to spread positivity through soccer. His hobbies include soccer, gaming, spending time with cats, and going on walks. He enjoys dining at Olive Garden and drinking a nice cold Coca-Cola.
Coach Matthew, also known as Coach Matt, is from Garland, Texas, and is currently studying Finance at UNT. He played club soccer until age 17 and has a deep passion for the sport. His interests also include playing the drums, piano, and painting. He joined Soccer Shots DFW to share his love for soccer with the younger generation. His Favorite place to eat at is Chipotle.
