Originally from Baytown, Texas, Coach Mckhenzie grew her love for the game with the Challenge Soccer Club before taking her skills and studies to the University of Houston. While there, she fostered her love for soccer, both as a midfielder for the UH Women’s Soccer team, and as a volunteer coach for local youth clubs. Shortly after college, Coach Mckhenzie joined Soccer Shots Houston as a coach and Program Director, combining her passion for working with children and her love of the game. Coach Mckhenzie has recently relocated to the DFW area, and is excited to continue to bring the same culture and passion to the All-Stars in Dallas and surrounding areas! In her spare time, Coach Mckhenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, Zachary, discovering the city’s best cheeseburgers, and finding new fishing spots!
Coach Johanna, originally from Houston, brings a wealth of coaching experience to the families of Soccer Shots DFW! She kicked off her soccer career at a young age, playing with local youth clubs in the Houston area. After graduating from Sam Houston State University, Coach Johanna found herself in Dallas and began her coaching career with clubs including Texas Rush, Dallas Rush, Texas United FC and Dfeeters to name a few! Johanna loves having the opportunity to positively impact children through soccer, but when she’s off the field, you can find her exercising or listening to soccer podcasts!
Coach Aron grew up in Laredo, TX, with his three siblings and their pup, Harley! His love for soccer started early on in his life, and his 18+ year career eventually landed him a spot on the semi-professional team, The Laredo Heat! Coach Aron attended University of Texas at Arlington and graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology Exercise Science, and is passionate about providing both soccer and strength and conditioning instruction to the youth in the community. Coach Aron is a fluent Spanish speaker, and can be usually be found fishing, playing soccer or eating at his favorite restaurant, Texas de Brazil!
Born and raised just east of Dallas in Plano, Coach Jordan’s love for the beautiful game kicked off at the early age of eight! He continued his career playing for his high school team at the Prince of Peace Christian School, and eventually for Dallas Baptist University. When not on Soccer Island, you can find Coach Jordan checking out new asian restaurants and playing with his German Shepherd puppy, Frank!
A Dallas native, Coach Janie is passionate about providing a beloved growth experience for every child through soccer! She graduated from Midway High School and helped lead the team to State Playoffs in both 2011 and 2012. After her high school career, Coach Janie graduated from Lamar University where she participated on the club soccer team, and is now pursuing her Texas teaching certification! In her spare time, Coach Janie enjoys spending time with her friends and family or eating at Chuys!
Coach Maria, a Dallas native, grew up playing soccer with her sister, two brothers, and a pup named Toby! After graduating from North Garland High School, Coach Maria continued her playing career at Texas A&M Texarkana as a defender for the Lady Eagles. Coach Maria loves serving and interacting with youth in the Dallas area and sharing her passion and experience of the game! When not coaching, Coach Maria cheering on Manchester United, skating, or planning her future bucket list trip to England!
Coach Ben C.
Coach Ben joins Soccer Shots DFW all the way from Plymouth, England where he played locally for the Plymouth Argyle Football Club. After high school, Coach Ben found himself on a plane to Wichita Falls, Texas, where he attended Midwestern State University and continued his collegiate career while majoring in Business Management. After graduation, he kicked off his coaching career at all skill levels, including local colleges, clubs, and Soccer Shots DFW! In his spare time, Coach Ben spends time with his wife, Emmi and their dog, Baylie. Ask Coach Ben about his secret talent….playing the trumpet!
Coach Sydney grew up just outside of Dallas in Richardson, TX, and began her soccer career at the age of four! Her love for the game took her all the way through her high school days at J. J. Pearce High School, where she realized her passion for working with children and made a plan to pursue a degree in early childhood education. Coach Sydney also has past coaching experience teaching volleyball, and can be found exercising at local parks or trails with her pup!
Coach Ben D.
Joining us all the way from El Paso, Texas, Coach Ben made his way to the Dallas area to pursue a Kinesiology degree from Southern Methodist University! With the completion of his undergraduate degree, Coach Ben recently began a new program pursuing a Doctorate in Occupation Therapy at Baylor University. Coach Ben is passionate about serving the children in the DFW community through his favorite sport! When he’s not on Soccer Island, Coach Ben can be found cheering on his favorite team, Manchester United, or playing the drums!
Born and raised in the Ft. Worth area, Coach Kaleb is passionate about providing a beloved growth experience to every child through sports! After coaching his younger brother’s soccer team, Coach K realized how much he enjoyed interacting with the kiddos and eventually found himself dedicating his time to the All-Stars of Soccer Shots DFW! When he’s not on the field, you can find him playing cards with his family and friends, working out and staying active, or working on his moves at the MMA gym!
All the way from Long Beach, California, Coach Daria is a relatively recent transplant to the DFW area and is excited about helping impact the All-Stars in the area! Her personal soccer career started at the age of seven and her dedication and hard work eventually earned her a spot on the San Jose State women’s soccer team. She later transferred to the University of North Texas and earned her B.S. in Kinesiology! She plans to eventually pursue a career in pediatric physical therapy, but in the meantime she can be found baking, trying new restaurants around DFW, or cheering on the Lakers!
Coach Michael grew up nearby in Keller, TX and began playing soccer for various clubs all around the Dallas area! After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Kinesiology degree, he began following his passion of coaching soccer for kiddos with the Keller Soccer Association, and more recently, the Texas Alliance SC for all ages. Coach Michael ultimately hopes to pursue a career in Physical Therapy and, when not on Soccer Island, can be found at the nearest campsite, working on cars, or hanging out with his dog, Roscoe!
